This thing is a piece of junk. It would barely go in the ground because it is to thick. and the metal its made of has no spring to it at all so it just bends right in half after using it. I bent mine on my second bottle digging hunt. what a waste of money.

I don't write many negative reviews. I'm kind of the opposite of most. I like to praise things. This arrived and will be a good Tool for my needs of gopher tunnel hunting to try to rid them from my yard, but somebody put tape on the handle of this for no reason. The said tape proceeded to leave its glue behind in the heat of the shipping vehicles. Now the tape has been removed, but the tape goop is left on the rubber coated handle. I'm using this to dig in dirt, so the goop gets on my hands because it's tape adhesive and then the dirt I am working in is a mess on my hands. I shouldn't have to wash my hands EVERY TIME I TOUCH this thing. It's sad. There was no reason to have it there. It served no purpose but to make this a mess to use. Otherwise it is great! And if an Amazon employee put the tape on the handle, then you have caused this company an unfair review.

The vendor commented they don't put tape on their handles, which makes sense because it served no purpose. I upgraded to 5 because it is nicely made. People complaining of them flexing or bending may need to try the shorter 3' model.

I bought this probe out of necessity and was very pleased with the quality and workmanship. I knew from my high water bill my outside waterline was leaking but moisture was not showing up on the surface. I probed the line from beginning to end and finally discovered the leak at the end of the line. Perfect tool for that task.

Seems well made for this price. I didn't see any weld marks near the tip as other reviewers complained about. Seemed sturdy and well made. It's not that easy to probe dry clay soil like I have. I'm going to wait for rain to probe more.

I was trying to find my septic tank so looked for a probe. The Bully Tool probe worked perfect and I was digging up the pump out hole soon.
