it's a good size job to install, but works very well. Great investment if you're trying to clear off your bumper

definitely a challenge to install, but works very well once you get it installed correctly.
This was easy to install

This was easy to install, and I'm a 61 yr old handy woman. I like having the tire underneath my rig instead of on the back.

Gets the spare out of the way.

Easy install on a 2017 Forest River Cedar Creek. As other reviewers stated it takes longer to determine the proper location than it does to install. Keeps the spare tire hidden but still accessible. Be sure and turn the valve stem down on the spare so you can check the tire pressure without removing the spare. Shipped without a box so there were a few scratches but a can of black spray paint took care of that. I used bolts and nylock nuts since the back of the frame was accessible after removing a bottom panel from the RV.
Great solution

The finished install looks great and performs very well.

After an afternoon checking for suitable mounting locations, I was left with just 2. The one chosen was directly behind the wheels. The fall back location was going to be at the very rear of the trailer (30' Cougar travel tailer). The primary restrictions were the heating ducts in the underbelly. They would be one one side or the other from the axels to the front of the trailer.

The other difficulty in mounting is the underbelly covering. On this trailer it extends to the outer edge of the I-beam. It is firm enough that there is limited flexibly to get you hand to the other side of the I-beam. My solution was to put the bolt in from the inside. I used a tight fitting flat washer on the outside to hold the bolt in place. I then slipped the mounting bracket over the bolts/washers and add a flat washer, lock washer then nut. This allowed me to tighten the mounting just from the outside. Worked great.

I spent the majority of time locating mounting points and about half that time mounting it.
