I bought this matcha whisk because I wanted to properly froth the matcha so that I could really taste the flavors of matcha. This product was affordable and it looks authentic. Out of the package, I was looking at the whisk "legs". I have no idea what it is called, but I was looking at the legs of the whisk and the wood looked like it was peeling. I was concerned that I would be drinking bamboo while using this whisk. Upon further research it looks like you need to prep your whisk the first time that you use it. You are supposed to soak the whisk in warm water to prep the bamboo. If you do this, I think you would have an easier time whisking matcha.

Makes such a difference when making matcha at home. Trust me even if you don't get this one get some matcha whisk!! It is so worth it. Kind of hard to clean but I normally run it under water immediately after using it and pat it dry
