We made over 120# of ground venison and packaged in these bags. Worked slick with our Carnivore grinder. If I didn't buy a box with 1000 I'd definitely buy them again.
and my wife has typically done that part since she was the best at doing it

For years we have butchered our own deer, processing several per year. One part of the job that is time-consuming and frustrating is packing the ground meat, and my wife has typically done that part since she was the best at doing it. Once packaged, any blood in the meat has a tendency to seep through the paper before it completely freezes, making a mess and causing the package to look ugly.
This last fall I decided that we needed to streamline the process so I bought these bags and bought the "LEM Ground Meat Packaging System" for about $30. Why we didn't do so years ago is beyond me, but this has greatly reduced the time and effort of packaging the ground meat. We have now used it to process several deer and a 300+ lb hog, and it's an awesome product! If you do your own butchering of game or livestock, you must get one of these.
Pros:
1. Cost. When I purchased the LEM taping machine locally, the store was selling 25 bags for $10. That's $.25 each! I knew this would be cost-prohibitive as much as we would be using it, so I turned to Amazon. Buying these Ultrasource bags 1000 at a time put the price/bag at just $.06. I can definitely live with that, and this box should last us several seasons.
2. Convenience. 1000 bags in one box. No need to keep multiple small packs of 25 bags on hand.
3. Pre-printed. "Multiple-choice" boxes to mark. Less writing necessary for each package. Just use a Sharpie to check the appropriate box and add the date below, if you like.
4. Heavy duty. No complaints with bag blow-outs. These are heavy and well-made.
5. No leak-through. No worry about blood saturating and seeping through paper before it's frozen, causing packages to freeze together then ripping when separating them.
6. Convenience. At a glance we can tell what is ground meat since we paper-wrap all the other cuts.

Cons:
Can't think of any. These make me never want to go back to wrapping ground meat in paper again.
Easy to use and the right price!

As a new meat processing shop, these work great, but I also don't have anything to compare it to.
So far so good
