This mat works great. After reading about other people having issues with the grease accumulating on it and the recommendation was to use paper towels to soak it up during the grilling, I thought to myself that there has to be another solution to this problem. I decided to take a utility knife and cut randomly open slots on it (see photo). I am pleased to say that it was the solution to this problem. My food came out perfectly and I had no problems with the grease issue. I grilled chicken which is well known for flare ups, which I had none. The meat slid right off the mat and clean up was a breeze. The company that makes these probably should consider putting small holes throughout their mats.

Let's say you're running from a horde of the undead. You need to travel light, and you need to have a way to cook food fast and efficiently, without lugging around a stove and fuel. This stuff is just simply the best thing to happen to your BBQ since cavemen first discovered fire makes food taste good. Holy crap. Seriously. stop what you are doing, click the buy button, and prepare to be amazed. each sheet weighs mere ounces, and rolls up tight and can be stored in your go-bag easily. It cleans easily with some water and elbow grease. Behold this pre-apocalypse-video of 3lbs of sliced mushrooms on the grill all at once! If this doesn't show you the epic potential of this stuff, then you just don't get it and I can't help you.

OK. The mat works, principally as described. cooking juices will roll of the mat at times. It can sustain high temperatures and the food cooks and does get some grill marks. The mat would have gotten a higher ranking if it cleaned up better in the dishwasher. You still have to scrub the map to loosen all the cooking residual. Nevertheless, the functionality is as described but I think they are overpriced for what you get. Also, there is nothing like a metal tray with a rim set over your grates for grilling smaller up vegetables or items that might fall through the larger grill grates. While those are hell to clean, they are better for cooking and caramelizing vegetables.
They do work, and if you like them, use them.

Honestly, this grill mat is good, but for me, it is good for limited things in my grilling world. I cook on the grill at least twice a week and sometimes double that number of times but I am not giddy about using grill mats all of the time.
1. Definitely a good thing for public grills when that is happening.
2. Definitely a good accessory with thin cut veggies on a grill, even though foil accomplishes the same thing.
3. Definitely cleans up easy if you're using BBQ sauce on your food. (Sauce can be a little messy on grill grates.)
After that, I like the grill grates much better. I didn't see what the big deal is with these grill mats here at home.

Works extremely well. The mat keeps the oils and juices from getting the grill dirty and the food still retains the grilled cooking. My only downside is that the oils can sizzle and cause some to reach you while you are tending the grilled meats. I have to keep the dog further away, if that gives you an idea. This is OK to me, as the cleaning of the grill is nothing. We also had some flames in the past, but the Mat prevents that problem perfectly.
I have grabbed the mat a few minutes after grilling with a paper towel and it is not crazy hot. I also have washed the mat in the dishwasher with no problems. This mat is a great product that does the job you are purchasing it for. Well done Devin and the Grillaholics team!
