So I've own 2 Apex MR-1050 since 2020 and I need to say this filters I great, I have ordered replacement for them a number of times for the past couple of years from their original website and never had an issue but since I saw that amazon have some filters available I gave it a try in 2022 and no issues either. Unfortunately, this year 2023 I ordered 2 filters which one of them is not working properly and I immediately send a message to the seller but the answer was that the installation could be wrong but I've been replacing it for the past 3 years and never gotten it wrong plus one of the 2 filters did work. I offer to send the filter back so they can check it and send me a replacement but no answer from them. I had to return the item to amazon and get a replacement instead.

this brand is a very reliable company. I live in an area where the water is heavy in metals and other stuff that's just no good. This filter definitely removes most of the items, the problem is that you have to run the water for a good 10 seconds every time to avoid the charcoal taste. And yes, I've cleaned the spout and the water canal so there's no residue. This has occurred before; only with this brand
