I know this has taken a while to write, but the wait is totally worth it. I purchased henna and indigo from this seller, I will never buy from anyone else. I finally had the time to use the two step henna-indigo process to dye my hair black. I am not disappointed. I have no problems with the indigo dye nor the henna stain, and together they gave me a deep black color with a lovely brown undertone that I am in love with. It looks so natural that some parts of my hair that are naturally lighter are lighter. I wouldn't ever recommend a box dye over henna and indigo, but not just for the color alone and especially because of how damaging boxed dye is. My hair is so soft and strong, and my natural texture is excentuated in such at way that my natural waves are lighter than air. Virgin hair would love this process and processed hair would benefit from the protein eganced strength that henna and indigo provide.

I originally was just going to use this in a two-step process with indigo to make my hair black (again), but I fell in love with the henna color. I have black hair that has lost its luster (and some gray). After henna, I now have a light reddish tint with brassy highlights (where the grays were). It looks great! After three weeks, the color is still there.

Some people are concerned about the smell. With my batch, it smelled like spinach. So my head mildly smelled like the produce section for a few days--no big deal. The smell washes out quickly.

This stuff is basically mud, so it is a little messy. But not nearly as messy (and stressful) as chemical hair dyes.

This is the best henna I've ever used. They even print the date it was packaged so you can see how old it is. It actually stains really well, and stays on my hair like it's supposed to. Plus it's finely ground so it's not hard to rinse out. I mix it with hot water an hour before I want to use it, so that the particles have time to fully absorb the water and make a nice paste. Then I put it on my hair (while wearing gloves this stuff stains quickly), cover it with a shower cap from the dollar store and then cover that with a dollar store turbie twist. I wear it for about 3 hours, but I'm going to try less time next time and see if it works.

Very annoyed by this product. I bought this same product in June/July of 2016 and it said it was packaged in Jan 2016, which was great! it also worked great on my hair exactly like it was supposed to. I bought this product again in December of 2016 and again it said it was packaged in Jan 2016, which was still okay as it was less than 12 months old which is what was advertised however it didn't work on my hair at all, I did the exact same process of letting the dye release but nothing happened to my hair at all. I ordered it again now in late February 2017 and it again says it was packaged in Jan 2016, almost 14 months old and the package arrived opened. Less than impressed.

I have used this brand of henna for about three years now and it never fails to bring a beautiful color to my hair. Before you henna make sure you really look it up, because from experience it is very hard to lift the color out of your hair if you ever want to go blonde. I have tried other colors over this and it has done fine with box dyes and professional dyes - in my experience it does not react or have the heavy metals that react with other dyes that can fry your hair. They send a generous amount of henna and even the 100 gram package lasts for about two colorings of my silky somewhat thin shoulder length hair. My only wish is that they would include multiple shower caps in each package as they only send one per package. I suppose that's understandable as many people have thick hair and need to use the entire package just for one round of color.

I have been completely satisfied with this brand and don't really see a need to try any other henna brand after using it. I actually have had the henna experience over the years get better - when I first started using it the color would wash out for the first week or two after using the henna. Nowadays it does not run like it used to and I rarely have to protect my pillow after any but the first washing.
