Great hat.

This is a great cap.

There are three Velcro places to put patches to customize this hat. There is one on the top of the head where the button would normally go. There is one patch on the front of the hat over the brim that has the Condor name and logo 'etched' into the Velcro and there is one on the back above the hole.
The one on the top of the hat that is in place of the button is about a 1 inch square spot of Velcro. The one behind the hat over the hole is about 1 inch tall by 3 inches wide and the one in the front is about 3 inches by 4 inches wide.
It is very easy to find a wide variety of patches, even ones you can customize yourself, to individualize this hat with your own patches appropriate for each situation you find yourself in.

The fabric is tough and the brim is well made. We inspected the stitching and found it to be just fine for our use. The back is full fabric with the exception of the panel above adjustment strap. This panel has a hole so that you can breath and not get to sweaty and tighten and loosen the hat.

The adjustment strap is about 3/4 of an inch wide and fairly well made. It is adjusted not by Velcro but by a metal latch. So far it has done a great job holding the strap in place and keeping the hat adjusted as set.

Enjoy.
Fat heads better pass this one up.

If you wear over a size 7 3/8 hat, don't waste your time with this cap. It WILL NOT fit your head. It will adjust to fit, and you can put it on, but you will look like Chris Farley when he was singing fat man in a little coat. It looks weird and funny and you'll just end up refunding it. If you have a large head like me; i wear 7 5/8, It doesn't cover enough or come down far enough. do yourself a favor and get an Oakley SI cap or a camo new era 39thirty cap from ebay, and get someone to sew the velcro and patches on. The quality is good, looks like it was very well made, but it just isnt big enough. 39thirty caps are the only ones ill buy now because they are the only ones that are made for men, not little boys.
Really Great Hat

I live this hat. I add my different velcro patches to it. It's heavy duty velcro made to last a lot of changes. It can be a different hat each day depending on which patch I apply. As long as you have a patch with the velcro back you can put it on the hat or you can get a small piece of velcro and a glue gun and attach the velcro to any patch that you choose. Most patchs come with a velcro back. My unit patch does because it had to be removed for certain reasons.
Good hat, quality construction

Good hat, quality construction. Fit is a little large, if anything. Good attachment points for patches. I expect this hat to last a while, though I may order another in a different color.
material is good and it fullfils its function

Camo came as advertised, material is good and it fullfils its function. That being said, what really killed it for me was the fact that the brim (or visor, whatever you want to call it) of my specific hat (I ordered the A-Tacs Field Green) was not evenly stitched to the head covering portion of the hat. The left side of the hat was stitched evenly but the right side was stitched at a diagnal 45 degree angle. Killed the entire asthetic of the hat, as the visor looks slanted when you wear the hat and because of that can't say I love it, like it, or will even wear it in the future. But if asthetic is not important to you, this will defenitely get the job done.
