Worthless. It will bear no weight. Once you place anything on the hook it falls apart. The hook comes in two pieces. The bottom part slides so as to extend the length of the hook. It is disappointing because you can tell someone tried to make a thoughtful piece but it is flawed. I don't think any of the positive reviews are real. I'd be willing to find a fix to make it work but it needs some sort of clamp to hold the two parts and that is too involved. I am returning it. I tried following their directions on adding tension; there is no way it would ever hold weight as designed.
Not for heavy wreaths

I have an 8 foot foot and a heavy wreath. I purchased this adjustable hanger and it fits nicely over the door and extends the length that I need. Product adjusts up to 25 inches and states it can hold up to 20 pounds. It may hold the heavier weight if the extension is not used. But the longer the hanger is extended the the less weight it will bear. My 10 lbs wreath fell repeatedly. The metal is weak and bending it to loosen or tighten the lower assembly (as instructed) only works temporarily to tighten the extension. Opening and closing the door with a heavy wreath swinging on it a few times and the weak metal will bend right back loosening the connection on the upper assembly causing the lower assembly to come connected. Do not use this hanger for heavy wreaths using the extended length
Disappointing - Brushed "nickel" is very dark

I ordered this in brushed nickel and was very disappointed in what I received. It looked more like dark grey steel than lighter silver, brushed nickel. In addition, there were tiny scratches or nicks all along the edge of the hanger (and it was still in the original packaging, so I'm not sure how this happened). Other than those issues, the quality seemed fine. But it's being returned because it was damaged.

This works well. It's racheted in the back to hold it in position. They won't slide open unless they are adjusted to be moved.
