Bought these for my boys and our pool. We have a fairly large in ground pool and these are almost to fast! As with kids, they want to go full speed, but in a pool there isn't enough room to turn at high speeds. They don't turn as easy as I would like. Think the rudder needs to be bigger for that. There is a rudder adjustment which I haven't messed with yet. These are VERY fast! and fun. Would be awesome on a lake or pond but just okay for a pool.

Was shopping around for a cheap RC boat for my 6 yr old boy to eventually destroy. Seemed like the average rating for this price point was around 3.5 stars at best so I took a chance on this one. Thing is sweet! Super zippy and durable. Son got it stuck in the weeds on our lake and I had to drag it out (submerging it a number of times in the process) and still ran like a champ. Great starter RC Boat!

Ordered two R/C boats. One worked great other did not. Returned the orange & ordered another with a spare battery. Received the other works great. I ordered these for my grandson & me. I have received notice I'm only receiving $32.04 refund on my charge account when the boat was $38 and some change. They said I had to pay for return shipping. It was not my fault the R/C boat didn't work. I'm on a fixed income & that $6 means alot to me. I returned all items in good faith. Can someone help with compensation like a extra battery for longer running time. As far as the R/c Venom boats they are great & the grandson enjoys them very much! Thanks.

I love this boat. It is wicked fast, once it gets planing, and I have not gone out of range yet. The auto-righting feature is very useful, and it can easily get air in tall waves. VERY IMPORTANT: this boat needs to be in water to activate. This drove me nuts for a while.
This boat has terrific speed and maneuverability for a reasonable price. I only have two complaints: The battery takes a while to charge, so order two. Second, the boat doesn't turn as quickly to the right as it does to the left. Other than that, this is an amazing boat for all skill levels. Easy enough for beginners, but it comes with enough power for experts.

This is the best R/C boat I have ever bought. By way of comparison, I also have the Double Horse K-Marine 7009 which is the same size boat and has the same motor. The Udirc Venom is vastly superior.

First, it has two stabilizing fins on the stern. These prevent the boat from spinning out when doing sharp turns. The boat turns nicely in either direction. Other boats will spin out and stop dead in the water when turning sharply.

Second, the self-righting feature really works. If the boat is turned over by a wave or wind, give it full reverse then full forward and the motor torque will flip the boat right side up. Can't beat that!

Water cooling works well, and you can see the water being discharged when the boat is in motion. This will prolong the motor life. Battery life is easily 10-15 minutes, depending on speed. I avoid max speed all the time, which is not necessary and drains the battery faster.

The radio is has excellent range. I can control the boat from so far away that it is just a speck on the water. If you are looking for a fun R/C boat which has great performance and is easy to control, buy this one. Even better, buy two.
