Generally, I like to clean gutters with a blower or with a vacuum or with my own hands. However, there are times where I would prefer to use a hand shovel and this can be in situations where I will be going through some mud that is pretty thick. Sometimes my hands just can't grab it as well as the shovel can. It is cheap, and if your heart on it, it will eventually break on you. What I like to do just as a little pro tip is put some kind of tape on it that prevents it from breaking all the way if it does crack. I also like to cut it shorter so that you don't have a lot of flap at the end of the shovel. There's a weird circular thing at the end that I don't really like so I take it off. It's just one of the tools that's nice to have in a Gutter Cleaning kit but it's not my go to all the time.

Might be even better if bottom of scoop were flat instead of rounded and if it had threaded screw bottom to accommodate pole.

Cleaning gutters for me are a combination of this scoop, good waterproof work gloves, and a pressure washer gutter wand. When your gutter has a lot of slimy muddy crap to muck out this is a great tool to clear the big loads out and into a bucket.
It seems flimsy and not too sturdy but I think that's part of the design because it allows the scoop to flex and compress where needed in the gutter.
I'll definitely buy again if something happens to this one.
