Dace with black beans has become an item I always keep stocked in my pantry next to tuna and anchovy fillets. They don't require refrigeration (we lose power now and then) and come ready to eat out of the can on white rice or noodles. You can make something fancy with them as well. This brand is ubiquitous in Asian markets for a reason; they taste great and are high quality. The fish isn't overly broken up and if you are lucky, it is easy to debone. I'm always finding new ways to use it.
