Fits a full set of Staedtler Mars Pencils and a full set of Faber Castell 9000's, plus some. The drawers are easy to open and it looks nice on my art table. Perfect for my needs and it seems good and sturdy so it will last a long time.
really good for flat tools/pens etc - dividers aren't removable.

I really like this case. I'll likely buy another. the only negative is that the dividers aren't removable so I couldn't store my markers efficiently in it. I'll probably end up getting at least another one and stacking them. it looks really nice and I think it well made. I think it is something my grandfather would have made.
tip of height of drawers. My new Painters pens fit nicely but the box wouldn't. My watercolor pencils can stack 2 deep. So I'm guessing 1/2 inch deep.
I wish I had bought the 3 drawer version, but I think i'll just keep buying 2 drawer versions. I like it much better then a plastic equivalent.
