Fantastic covers, replacing an older model that was damaged in a move. The gray color is perfect for modern units, and will keep out the needles, leaves and debris that were already accumulation. I tried to blow out the mess first, but didn't work well. I will wait for HVAC tech when I get annual maintenance done, and the paperwork even recommends the same.

Ordered 2 covers, and both worked on different size Carrier compressors.

UPDATE - don't know if it was the cover placement, install error, or random but my band new Carrier system stopped working within 24 hours of installing the cover. Never had a problem like this with old unit, and the repair tech said it was a comm. board that went bad, which Carrier is prone to. I won't blame the cover but just be aware.

Does the job of keeping debris and little fingers out of our AC unit. The sewing on ours appears to be a little crooked. That is my only complaint. I would buy again though. I would recommend this product to people with toddlers, and/or people who get excessive tree/yard debris. We live on a green belt and it helps to keep all sorts of tree debris out.

After years of threatening to find a replacement cover for our a/c unit, I finally read all of the reviews available and landed on this product. I purchased the gray color one and applied it with the small bungee cords that were included. It's winter here in California so the unit is not running but I smile each time I pass it and see leaves sitting on the top. I am confident that it will be an asset come summer when we finally start it up.

Very well constructed quality cover. The only issue is that it does cut down on airflow which has to be expected due to turbulence introduced by the screen. The good thing is that the leaves and acorns are not getting into the heat pump so on balance it is a good tradeoff. I inserted 4 lengths of grey PVC pipe where the cover overlaps the top edge to act as a stand off and raised the screen up about an inch. The airflow is better and the leaves still stay out. Perhaps the design could have some built in sleeves to slip in some PVC standoff pipes. They tend to slip, probably will tie wrap them to the screen before I am done.

Let's face it, an A/C unit is a huge investment, this little BFO (Blinding Flash of the Obvious) cover is what you need to protect that investment. My A/C units aren't even under a tree, but I have a lot of trees in the backyard. I noticed that a lot of leaves and "helicpoters" were blowing over and landing on the top of the A/C unit and making their way inside. I've had my cover on for over 2 years now and it has kept all of the leaves and debris out of my A/C unit. I haven' t touched it since I've installed it and honestly it still looks like new. Great quality and a great investment.
