Addendum: I wore this chain day and night with a light pendant. The chain held up perfectly. After three years, the spring mechanism inside the clasp broke (not from overuse, as I did not need to open the clasp on a 24-inch chain that could simply go on over my head). The vendor fully stood by this product and offered a one-time replacement, even after the price of gold had soared. I have utmost gratitude and respect for this vendor and for this level of customer service, and I will not hesitate to order from this company in the future. They are the best!
