Pros:
Comes with an awesome pouch complete with protective slip covers for the actually bristles of the brushes, keeping them from bending into funny shapes.
Multiple sized dotting tools: awesome for when you're doing the same design on your fingernails that's on your feet. Since the nails are smaller, the dots need to be smaller. Plus, its great if you want to have abstract designs with different sized dots.
Great variety of brushes: Different strokes for different folks is so true here! Some designs (like tulips) you need to "smear" on to really get that amazing detail. This kit has that. I've done butterflies, tulips, Hawaiian flowers, OM signs, abstract lines/dots, my own random designs, sunflowers, and even watermelon designs. My friends RAVE over my nail designs....great for marketing if I need extra money. LOL.
Small pouch means i just conveniently shove it with the rest of my nail accessories. Great to take on the road as well.
Purple....Yeah, its my favorite color so thats a huge plus for me visually. :D
Affordable: saves me soooo much money on manicures its insane. A mani with a design is $25. I do my nails every 10 or so days,
so thats "plenny munny" I'm saving.

Cons: Whatever paint they used to finish these comes off if in contact with your nail polish remover and gets EVERYWHERE!
So you may have purple smudges all over your hands if you're not careful. For me, this isn't a big deal and its only happened once. Just don't do dipping your brushes into 3 inches of nail polish remover. You don't need that much anyway.
Wished some of the actual brushes were a bit shorter in length, because when I'm working with my left hand to do my right, its gets difficult. The shorter ones are a bit easier to work with. Other than that, amazing product that I've recommended to several people that have asked about my awesome nails.

So far I am liking this brush and dotting tool set. I held off on writing my review for a few months after receiving them so I had time to adequately work with them before I made a decision. I wanted to get out the kinks before just saying, "They're gorgeous!" But they really kind of are. The color of the handles is as depicted, the dotting tools have the ribbony design in the handles and it's quite cute. The sizes of the dotters is a good variety, I like the double ended design, makes it easy to just yank one tool out even when you want various sizes on your art work. The brushes are good quality and clean easily. I have no problem with paint or polish being stuck in them or dying the bristles, even the white ones clean well, and they all come back soft just cleaning with acetone. The striper isn't "boingy," it runs true to my line where I want it. The amber bristled fan brush got a little clumpy after about 4 nails, but that may have been my paint/polish, not the brush. My one drawback is that the paint on the brush handles comes off if it comes in contact with acetone, and it's sticky! Cleaning that up required taking more paint off the handle and an acetone soak to wipe it clean, but the wood under was nice and smooth with no splinters or defects.

For the price this product is one of the most pleasant surprises ever. I knew I was buying "cheaper" brushes due to the price but figured I would replace them in a few months or so once I figured out which I liked best and which I couldn't live without and then I would put more money into buying those brushes and dotting pens by an expensive (aka better??) brand. Well I have no intention of replacing these, I love them. I expected the case to be that super thin cheap vinyl that I would throw away - again not the case. VERY happily surprised and highly recommend if you don't have money to burn.

I love this nail art brush kit! While I do agree that the set could benefit from the brush handles being a little smaller to fit inside the polish bottles (which can be very easily solved), this set is absolutely perfect for beginners. It's priced just right, and the carrying case makes it so convenient! I had no idea how to use any of these brushes when I bought them but I was so tired of paying $50-60 to get fake nails and a good manicure every couple of weeks. I bought this set and honestly didn't bother with the free e-download of the idea book (you do not get the book with your purchase, just the free download). I looked up videos on youtube.com and found plenty of beginner videos. For those just starting out I highly recommend watching missjenfabulous beginners videos for nail art. You'll become an expert in no time! Happy painting!

I purchased these back in like March and have been using them for about the last 5 or 6 months. I initially bought them because the fan brushes are about $7 a piece at a craft store and I figured a case, dotting tools and all the other brushes seemed like a good value (fan brushes are used to apply glitter over cured, tacky gel before adding a top coat) I just started nail tech classes and these are way better than the professional set they gave us in our student kits, the case is awesome they are totally portable, they store easily, they are protected from being damaged by the case, I will be using these for school instead of the set included in my student kit. Well worth $15 if they sell a makeup brush kit like this I would likely buy it based off the quality and ease of use when it comes to this set.
