Awesome action shot stabilzation tool!
Tim✓ Verified PurchaseJanuary 16, 2018
This is a must have product for action shots. If you are looking for an inexpensive stabilization tool then this will help up your game to the next level. It does not replace a gimbal, but for the price you can't beat this thing. I have a Rode video micro and Neewer LED light mounted to the top. I read in another review about issues with hot-shoe mount and not holding items in. I did not experience this at all. The light and mic are tight in the mount.

Pro:
-Price
-quality: this it a sturdy design
- 3 hot shoe
-light weight

Cons:
-Does not come with any phone/camera mount attachments, but you can find one for cheap and if you are already in the video game then you probably have one laying around.
Lightweight rig for smaller cameras.

I wanted to really like this but it's a little too small/tight (vertically) for my cameras. I have found use for it however, using a selfie stick connector and my iPhone. Using that, it's very light and assists in obtaining surprisingly good footage. Lightweight plastic rig for smaller cameras.
tight fit

the legs get in the way with some adjustments from the camera and the nut locks and is diffiicult to release given the lack of room underneath... fat fingers? the overhead arm is really tight to the camera and no camera mic can be used, if just wanting to use it for some set up like that...
But when the camera is locked (t5i), it is locked solidly and it is a sturdy little rig, but it is little.
I like this grip

I like this grip. Works just fine with my Canon T3i. It won't stabilize the camera on its own, so you have to know what you're doing to make it work, but unless you're a complete amateur, you should be able to get very stable shots using this grip. I will either hold it with one hand on top, one on bottom, and the "U" against my chest/abdomen, and do a "slide step" motion to avoid bouncing it when walking, or I'll just balance the top part on my middle finger (low shots) or thumb (high shots) and let it hang. All these techniques result in very stable shots without the need for expensive stabilizing technology.

My only gripe is that the hot shoe connector on top is rather flimsy, and anything I connect to it just ends up falling off no matter what I do. My solution was to simply stop connecting things to it. Not really a deal breaker for me, as I am content with using the built in camera mic and using other methods of recording separate audio when necessary, and just learning to do the best I can with low-light situations.

Overall, for the price, I am happy with this grip for my purposes.
Good material, but it doesn't help much with stabilization

Good material, but it doesn't help much with stabilization. I'll keep it because it's another options to "hand hold" my camera but I'll still need to get a counter weight one to actually stabilize my moving shots
