A soft touch to their paws and they love to use

A friend recommended it because her friend strongly recommended it to her. She tried it she was also happy with it. This is the best litter! I was using The World's Best Cat Litter. That's not bad but it has a unique scent. But this one pretty much has no scent like the one. I don't think I would switch to any others.
Work with automatic litter box

I've been looking for a good litter that works with my automatic litter box and this one works the best. I've tried every litter there is from pellets to clay and crystal litter. None of them clumps together like this litter has for me. This bag can also last me up to a month and a half. The transition to use this litter for my cat was easy and he even likes it more than crystal litter. I will say it can start to smell after a few bathroom trips from my cat but other than that I have no complaints.
Great natural litter

This litter is great for a low dust, low tracking, unscented litter. It clumps pretty well. The granules are a bit rough. Unfortunately, my cats wont use it.
Not Dusty, Compostable, Ok with Smell Control

I switched to this after using a walnut shell litter for a year because I started to notice that everything in my bedroom where the cat box was had walnut shell powder all over it - air filters, walls, counters, really anything I touched with my finger. This really freaked me out that my cats and I had been inhaling this for who knows how long, so I researched and bought this instead to try it out.
It is far, far less powdery/dusty than the previous litter or any clay litter that I have used. It's still compostable which is important to me because I'm trying to be earth-friendly where I can (I have separate compost piles for just the cat waste that I only put on my ornamental plants and not in the food garden). I also want to make sure that I'm using something healthy for my cats, and I'm feeling more confident about this product. I am monitoring for signs of dust build up, and so far so good. My only complaint is that it doesn't seem to work as well with the smell control for urine. I think that might be because my last brand had some kind of enzyme added to help with that specifically, as I don't think it's unique to walnut shells.
My cats readily changed to this litter, and we didn't really have to do the whole gradually switching it out thing, probably because this looked like litter they had used previously when I had them on a corn thing. You may want to do the gradual thing if your cats are not familiar with natural small crumble type litters.

Best Cat Litter We Have Ever Used

We run a small cat rescue and rely on SmartCat litter. We used to use clay litter but never felt good about its environmental impact or the urinary and respiratory health risks to our cats. SmartCat is made from grasses so it is very sustainable. It is lightweight, weighing a fraction of what clay litter weighs. It is unscented, which is what cats prefer, and absorbs odor well. It scoops easily and lasts a long time. With clay litter we were completely changing out the litterboxes every one to two weeks. SmartCat lasts about a month before needing a complete changeout. The only downside is that it tracks. ALL cat litter tracks, no matter what they tell you to the contrary, but SmartCat is more noticeable because the granules are larger and light colored. Unlike clay litter, however, it vacuums up easily. We find it to be less dusty than clay litter and the dust is not caustic as with clay. We have used this litter for a good 8 years now and we'll never switch to anything else ... unless SmartCat can top this.
