Good little plane for the price.

Pros:
*The gryo stabilization is awesome. I've flown it with 5 mph gust no problem.
*Durable. Only a nose dive caused damage.
*Easy to repair. I used scotch tape on a wing crack and foam safe CA to remount the engine.
*Small space. A competent pilot can fly within a soccer field. Beginner will need more space.
Cons:
*Unbalanced out of box! No direction on how to balance!
*Cheap motor. Mine has already started to burn out after 2 weeks.
My experience:
I bought this to get back into the hobby. I've flown it a couple of dozen times now. My first flight was nearly uncontrollable (pitch oscillation). Adjusting the push rods did not help. After a couple of crashes, I found the balance points online. FYI, it's the metal bar under the wing. I used a couple of soda cans with their tabs up to balance the plane. It was extremely tail heavy. I put a screw and washer into the nose and moved the engine forward a bit to get it balanced. The plane flies awesome now, even with the extra weight. I've notice now the motor is starting to burn out. An $11 replacement is on it's way. I've now read to let the motor rest a few minutes between flights.

After finding myself hilariously bad at flying more advanced RC planes, I picked up one of these so I could actually learn how to fly. The SAFE technology is a wonder. It's almost TOO good; it will bail you out of 95% of the mistakes that would otherwise lead to a crash, which flattens the learning curve. But this isn't a criticism because you can always shift to "Intermediate" or "Expert" modes if you want to "crash and learn." Because it is so light, you are restricted to calm conditions. Much more than 5mph makes it quite hard to manage. But that's not an unreasonable compromise for a plane meant for learning. On the upside, it's a remarkable glider. Climb to altitude, throttle back to zero, and it will stay aloft for ages. Another great thing is that it can sustain level flight at something like 40% power. Thus battery duration is excellent, frankly longer than my attention span. The batteries are cheap so I got a bunch.
