Durable

Point 1: The slits are too small to fit the tang of our Mundial santoku (it was a wedding gift from my brother). The grip guard is about 2 mm wider than the blade and made it impossible rest properly, making the knife wobble like crazy.
Point 2: Like any slightly insane husband, I decided to take a drill to the holder rather than send it back. The wood splintered a little (it's bamboo), but overall it held. Now the knife sits perfectly!
Point 3: The remainder of our collection, mostly Wusthof, fits just fine.
So: 5 stars for doing it's job, minus 1 for not fitting an obscure knife, plus 1/2 for fitting the rest, and plus 1/2 for holding up under pressure. :)

Well-crafted, Beautiful product that works perfectly!

Ok, I rarely write reviews, but I am so happy with these (I bought 2) that I am making the effort. They fit perfectly in my drawer and my knives fit perfectly in it. In case it helps you see how your knives would fit, my thickest handled knife (1 1/2" high measuring handle edge while sitting upright on blade) sits just about 3 1/4" high on this organizer. My drawer is only 3' deep but has a larger clearance of 3 3/4" so all my knives go into my drawer perfectly. [The height of the handle is really all you need to worry about as the blade slants into the drawer block]. I was glad I made measurements as I almost bought a different highly rated one that wouldn't have fit.
I like my knives in a drawer but I know that I was paying for it by having them get dull faster for doing it - now I will be able to avoid that problem. Plus, it is much safer having them all organized in their own slot then in a jumble in their drawer.
Additionally, while I did not purposely seek out a bamboo product - I really like the look. It looks beautiful and very well crafted. That makes me glad that I didn't try a make-it-yourself version. I doubt that I could have made it fit two rows of knives or made it look as classy and polished, and probably wouldn't have made it for less than this price anyway.
So hurrah to this manufacturer for making a well-crafted, well-designed, beautiful product and offering it for a fair price (I paid $16.95 each). Thank you!

The knife stoarage solution that doesn't hog counter space
Sarah Van Oosterwijck•April 23, 2017
This horizontal knife rack for inside a drawer is the perfect solution that I needed but didn't know existed.
I don't own a set of knives. I just collect any knives that are affordable, sharp, and useful. I couldn't find a knife rack to put on the counter that would fit what I have. I didn't like the idea of my knives getting dirty because dust can fall into those universal knife racks, and I couldn't figure out how to clean them. I also guard my valuable counter space very jealously. The problem was, I got tired of the hazards of digging in drawers with very sharp knives in them. That's a dangerous habit for anyone, but I'm blind, and I was also concerned that my child would eventually get hurt while searching for something.
Now, problem solved The knives are stored safely and cleanly. I can even fit the ridiculously long, double pointed, serrated knife my family inaccurately calls the sword in this knife rack.

Perfect For Smaller Kitchens, Or Anyone Looking To Save Space
FilmGeek•March 11, 2017
Minimal footprint, ideal for smaller kitchens with little counter space. We moved into a lovely new home last year, and while the kitchen was comfortably large, it lacked cabinet and counter space.
I'd had traditional knife blocks in the past, but just didn't have a good space here, and the in-drawer solution was ideal for most of my knives. Sturdy, attractive, and with enough types of slots to accommodate most prep, paring, steak knives, etc. (no cleavers, but come on!), this was an ideal solution for us.
There is some scalability to fit within drawers or to allow items on the side such as honing/sharpening tools, tongs, etc. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, attractive and practical solution to protecting and storing knives.

Great product

We purchased 2 blocks and they fit with room to spare. I would recommend this product. I have the chicago cutlery set and the biggest knife measures at 3" high when in the block. I can still close the drawer with that knife in its place.
