The box arrived pretty beaten up. I believe this fence is shipped with two bags of hardware, one for mounting the rails, and one for the fence itself. There was only one bag of hardware in the box, so i was missing the knob for the fence and the back foot and the plastic clear indicator for the rule and its mounting screws. One call to Shop Fox and the missing parts were on their way, so I have to say customer service is good.

Thanks to previous reviewers I was able to install the front rail on the front and the rear rail on the rear. As other reviewers pointed out the instructions have the rails swapped. The installation on my 1970 saw was not as difficult as I thought it might be. I could not use the threaded holes for the original rail mounts because they were too low, but it was easy enough to drill new holes in the cast iron edge flange and use the included nuts and bolts to mount the new rails. The only other problem I had was with the little screws sent to mount the clear indicator. They had the wrong thread. They were 10-32 rather than 10-24. I broke one off thinking the the resistance was due to the coating on the steal rail. Not the case. I bought some real 10-24 screws and they went in just fine.

The fence itself is fantastic! It's solid, easy to use and trues up to a perfect 90 degrees every time with a push on the lever. The clear indicator is easy to adjust for different blades and works perfectly. No more fumbling around with the tape measure needed. A great replacement for the original fence.

Instructions that came with it could be better but if you are handy you will figure out how to install it. Nice and solid only thing I don't like is the slop in the guide system, makes the fence bump over more than acceptable changes blade to fence measurement a 1/4 or so sometimes. This can be worked around by lightly clapimg the fence and bumping it where you want it then fully locking it down.

We've had this fence for a while now, and we can't fault its performance. It did NOT mount up to our old Craftsman 113 series table saw using the existing holes, but it turns out that drilling out cast iron is super easy with typical drill bits, a center punch (a light tap to keep the bit from wandering) and a lot of courage. A couple of things to note:

1. The box looked like it had been kicked around by giants in steel toed boots. When I opened it, the little knob was broken and some of the paint was scraped off, but it was otherwise fine. I contacted Woodstock and they sent me a new knob and a little pot of touch up paint, so kudos to them for that, but honestly I think they need to do a better job of either packing or have more care in the handling of said package. Or both.

2. Some of the tapped holes were stripped. A couple of the holes on the bottom of our fence are doing nothing because they were stripped out already. If they had been consecutive I'd be more concerned about stability and accuracy, but they aren't, and it doesn't seem to affect anything, it just bothers my inner perfectionist.

Update: Purchased another June 2017. Like the first one, the included screws and bolts did not fit my just purchased, new old stock, JWTS-10 JET saw. Standard screws do not fit the front rail (the screw head is too tall). Would be great if Shop Fox included 2 SAE 5/16 - 18 x 1 1/4 special headed machine screws for the front rail and 2 5/16 - 18 SAE hex head screws for the back. Included instructions tell you to drill holes in your saw if the supplied hardware does not fit ! That's not going to happen.
Rather than trying to grind down screw heads on standard headed screws, this time I chucked a counter-bore bit in my drill and counter-bored the angle iron front fence rail support. Since my last purchase I have used both a Jetfence and a ProShop fence. The Shop Fox W1716 is beefier in both the build of the rails and the fence. I also like it because the end of the fence rides on the rear rail, not your saw top like a Biesemeyer.
Also, front and rear rails could use extra holes for mounting an extension, but you can always bore holes in the angle iron yourself.

I bought this to put on my home made table with a Ridgid portable table saw. All the pieces are solid and fairly heavy. The fence locks in place quite well and stays put. I am happy with its performance so far, but I have only had it for a few days. I gave it 4 stars because I had hoped the mounting holes would line up better with the fence from the old saw, which is a standard model. Also you can see I didn't use the rear rail for my configuration. It works fine without the rear rail but it does run a little bit. Solved this by putting some furniture sliders underneath and now it slides back and forth like butter.
