Complicated and a No Z Use instruction guide

Just very hard to use and strangely set up. The instructions are woeful. Things really don't work as described. Lack of some easy things like shuffle through entire library and the video connection only being an hdmi for picture rather than audio. Hard to use with complicated set up menus that still don't follow what to do. Remote is maybe worst remote I have ever used. Poor signal and bad location of buttons. I could go on about how hard it is to recognize other computers in your system. Built in amp is nice touch and will drive even my larger speakers well. But I use this as a server plugged through TV and back out and have had to use two different inputs to get video and sound. Biggest object of yelling is the instruction booklet. It is not logically laid out. You have to search to find how to use the same recording ability for each mode of origin music (computer, disc, line, network, etc.) and it's different for all of them seriously. In short it is built well. You have to buy you own hard drive but that's not a big deal and it is easy to install. They don't tell you how by the way. In short. Not that great. But I'm starting to get some things to work but at least 9 things in the instruction book do not work as they are described. Really! Plus they provide such bad techical advice it reall is no customer service. I have two days to return it and if I can't get other functions working I will return.
This worked out a couple of hundred of dollars cheaper and works like a charm

I was really excited about this device. I had been looking for an all-in-one device for ripping, storing, and playing for a long time. I got the device and 3TB drive at the same time. I installed the drive, formatted it, did the necessary firmware updates on the X30, ripped about 15CDs, and then it just stopped working. The only recourse I had was to email tech support...in Korea I believe...and they were no help at all. Thankfully this all happened in a short period...I just returned it and got a refund from Amazon. I purchased a Cambridge Audio CXN player and a Synology NAS instead. This worked out a couple of hundred of dollars cheaper and works like a charm.
