It's good except for one thing

This rule is very accurate and solid. It does not flex. However, the lines that indicate 1/8th, 1/4, etc. are all the same height. So if you're not used to reading the numbers then it came be a bit of a learning curve. Overall it's a very good rule.
Precision for woodworking

In my opinion, this is a very high quality ruler that has now become my go-to measuring device for very precise woodworking cuts. If you are into splitting atoms, as I sometimes am, the ruler provides both 1/32- and 1/64-inch gradations. The only challenge is mentally converting these fine measures to some of the more common ones such as quarters and eighths. After a while, it becomes second nature. I've benchmarked ruler against machinist square rulers and all lines are spot on. The numbers on the rule are small, given the fine gradations. I'm 65, so I put on my 2.5 readers for very fine measures.

Holding this and measuring with it is sheer mechanical joy. It has the heft and finish of a professional product and should be passed down to children and acolytes.
However, it has one odd feature. The "customary" units side has 1/32 and 1/64 inch gradations. I'm not sure who uses those anymore; machine work went to decimal inches long ago. Having said that, the 1/32 side should have larger marks for the more frequently used 1/4 and 1/8th gradations.
The plastic sleeve is a joke. At this price its should be bamboo or leather.

This ruler is a joy to use. The finish is excellent, the markings are very easy to read, and it feels like a precision instrument. The edges seem to have been precision ground, making them square and true on every face, including the ends. It is designed in the style of a machinist's rule.
I would not recommend this for kids or anyone that expects to toss this in a backpack without care. No thought has been given to rounding the corners for safety or comfort; that's not the intention with this design. Definitely save the plastic sheath that it comes with, otherwise if you put it in a bag with other items the corners will catch and rip things. Again, this design is all about precision above all else. If that sounds appealing to you, you will fall in love with this ruler.
