Fixed the Wine Cooler

Yep, that $200 (or more) countertop wine cooler you have uses (1) one of these $4.25 parts to keep it cool. The neighbors wine cooler quit cooling because the refrigeration tablet had died. I replaced that tablet with one of these and that took care of it.
When using these make sure and note that there is a HOT and a COLD side to the tablet. Obviously for the wine cooler the cold side went towards the interior while the hot side is against a giant heat sink and fan facing the back. DO NOT install one of these without the thermal paste! Thermal paste is required to achieve the optimum transfer of the cold and heat to their adjoining parts.

They still work even tho I've had them in storage a while I tested them recently and they do produce the temperature as you would hope. I have not used high voltage like described but only a max 9v and they immediately go to work. About 3 secs and maintain.
One side goes hot and one cold and if u reverse the wires like I've done so the sides that produce the temperature swap so no damage I hope... the temperature is pretty warm maybe 70° and the cold is chill drops to 45° maybe I haven't been sure need to measure but I've held them in my hand.
Good stuff lots of possibilities here with these I need more later.

One of the modules arrived dead sadly, no point in returning because its unfixable not worth wasting resources during shipping, definitely a good price for the product compared to other listings. Not a 6 AMP Module but I don't mind it was to be expected for the price. I think they meant to list it as 3 amps per module or maybe the modules have to have high performance cooling to achieve such power draw. I was using it too cool down my GPU, RAM & CPU but it damaged my computer parts after realizing that one of the modules was dead. Definitely was fun for my prototype. Learned a lot about Peltier Modules when using in practical application.

My Igloo 12 volt cooler finally died after at least 10 years of service. After a bit of detective work it was clear the Peltier was the problem. So tore into it and ordered a replacement along with some thermo paste. Once all the parts came only took about a half hour to put it all back together and it was running again. Enjoying my cooler again for a few buck rather then hundreds to buy a new one.
