This is the BEST gap cap for over the space between rangetop and counter cabinet.
It is the real pliable silicone rubber and it is thin yet exactly what we wanted.
We got the clear and are completely happy! All the others I looked at appeared to be a hard type plastic.
Get THIS silicone rubber one; it is great and fits the bill perfectly.

Perfect solution to my problem! I think everybody has this issue sometime. My kitchen seemed to have a magnet for every single thing that would fit in there...from grape tomatoes to spoons. My husband is a big spiller of protein powder and vitamin supplements, but now they'll bounce right off!
What's also really cool about this little gem is that it's silicone. Easy to clean, stays put because it's kind of sticky, and won't crack or get messed up from heat. My gap is on an angle, the counter is a tad lower-so even though it looks like a little ramp-but at least my gravity grand canyon is covered!

So glad we have a black slip in stove, to avoid the stain problems of the clear ones that many are complaining about. I have a nice silicone spatula that was clear and it did turn yellowish over many years, so I guess the clear ones for the stove would do the same. The leg of the "T" is thin enough to easily fit the small gap between sections of counter and the stove top (smooth top), and flexible enough to bend slightly to the contours of the stove edge. Great product providing one can get many years of useful life out of it.

This seems like such a simple product,but it's a big solution for those with a tradiotional kitchen. The strips cover the gap between stove and counter where food and objects inevitably fell before I found this product. Before, the only way to clean the floor and sides of the cupboards and stove when something dripped or dropped into the gap was to pull the stove out and risk damaging the floor. These strips prevent those mishaps and are very easy to wipe clean. And, because they are silicon, they aren't harmed by heat from the stove. I'm thrilled with this product and even my husband was impressed when i put the strips in place. Well worth the price!

This is holding up well so far - I have had it for a couple of months. It needs to be cleaned frequently as I use my stove a lot. It is keeping all the splatters and gook out of the space between my counter and stove and works well even though my stove is close to 2 inches above my counters. It is very heat proof and has not curled or changed color even when exposed to lots of prolonged heat. I have spilled tomato, beets, wine and pomegranate on it without staining it, so it will probably work well for you.
