Unless price is absolutely critical I'd recommend choosing a model that's $30-$50 more

Suppose this is OK for the price, but way lighter and flimsier feeling than other Epson printers I've owned (5 previous). Front panel doesn't close properly without several tries (dust will get in if it's continually open), and in a few months I've had frequent ink clogs requiring many cleanings (using up ink each time). Unless price is absolutely critical I'd recommend choosing a model that's $30-$50 more, will work way better. Really impressed with Epson Claria inks though, both for true color and durability.
which I like, being somewhat cramped for space

I've only owned this printer for a few weeks and really only used it to print up my tax returns, but so far it has performed well. The set-up took about 15 minutes and was fairly straight-forward. It printed my tax papers in less than 30 seconds (11 pages) and was reasonably quiet. It's about half the size of my old Canon Pixma MP510, which I like, being somewhat cramped for space. Similar to the Canon, it uses individual ink cartridges so I'll only have to purchase the colors I need, rather than shelling out enough money to buy a whole new printer whenever I run out of ink.
A minor beef though is the tiny LCD screen on the front panel. It's difficult to see. I would have preferred having the control panel mounted on the top of the printer for easy viewing. But, all in all, it seems to be working fine for me and it has a lot of features for the price.

Best Printer I have used in years and years

I have used this printer daily to print between 800-1000 pages a month. This is the ONLY printer that lasted me for 2 years. (I owned several HP models, all of which never made it to end of useful life, rather they broke, along with 2 Canon models I also tried) It has had no issues and no breakdowns period. It eventually reached the end of its useful life (when the ink overflow is completely full, this is expected on every printer)
I now have purchased a second one. Why? Because it prints like a champ, has NEVER failed me and I can get OEM ink for as little as 6 bucks for a set of 5 that have worked for me every time. In 2 years after I beat this one to death I will pray i can find another new one for this price

The worst printer I've ever owned

this printer takes a lot of ink, so be prepared to constantly buy expensive ink.
And the ink nozzles clog up if you don't use it for awhile.
The print quality is OK, but when you take into consideration the amount of frustration it brings, it's not worth it.
The design is also very odd, it will not print unless you pull out a tray on the bottom, and you can't pull out that tray unless you pull out the tray where the you load paper.
conclusion: The worst printer I've ever owned. Horrible printer.
