If you have any being weighing more than 40 lbs in your life that likes to jump on the bed, then modification is required for the 8" to be safe. Gorilla glue and then screw the two pieces together. We have a 140 lb doberman and active kids so we also had to attach the bed to the riser. In the plumbing isle of the hardware store there are various sizes of half circles with screw holes at either end that are normally used to attach pipes to walls. They bend easily so we threaded them through the foot of the bed and screwed them into the riser.

THESE CREATE AMAZING STORAGE SPACE AND MAKE CLEANING SO MUCH EASIER. They are totally worth the time and effort of modification.
Sturdy, economical bed risers

So far, so good. The risers seem sturdy and are already in place on my son's bed (he's 8 years old and about 65 lbs using full-size bed). He often jumps onto his bed flopping down hard on the mattress (even after being told repeatedly not to do that), so these risers definitely have their work cut out for them. I only used the 3 inch risers, as that gave us enough room to slide a tabletop foosball game and some other larger item underneath his bed, but he hardly noticed the difference in height.
Overall, I'm very happy with this product and would recommend it.
These risers have only been in place for a little over a week, but I will update if there are any unforeseen developments...

I had the one tier style for over a year but was trying to get some storage cubes under my bed to make my room look less cluttered and decided to try these. They're perfect!!

I'm not a small woman and so far they've been just what I need and I know the other ones lasted well. I have a kid who likes to jump to get onto my bed sometimes so I'll be sure to update if I have issues, but I don't expect any.

Now I just need an extra long bedskirt to cover them!

I was really pleased with this set of risers. It's my second set of them and these are better than the original ones I have which are a different brand but look similar. First off, the five inch tall risers in this set have a wide enough opening to allow the posts of my low, West Elm platform bed to fit within them. This is the only brand I could find on Amazon that had a riser wide enough for that bed's thick, wooden legs. (Note that the three inch tall risers that also comes with this set didn't fit, but that's no matter, since I wasn't planning on using them with this bed.) so, seeing that this was the only riser that worked for me, they're so sturdy they'll probably outlast me and then some, and they've allowed me to have underbed storage (finally!) I can't give them anything less than five stars. Very happy!

Man, when I saw those people post pictures of these risers with a hole in them, I got worried. I didn't check the reviews before I ordered, and only saw them when I went to show my husband what I bought after the fact. That's when I saw all those holes. I prepared for the worst but they are fine. I've had them for two weeks and nothing bad has happened. I honestly can't understand HOW the holes came to be in the risers that people posted photos of. Mine seem like they are made of a really thick material. I used the large one for my bed and the medium sized one for my nightstand (the largest size comes from combining the other two sizes, but I didn't want to have my bed up so high).
