Difficult to read from any distance

I bought this to replace my electronic one that quit. I use it to read the temperature in my garage at a glance. For my use it is too small and difficult to read to do what I wanted. It works fine but the indicator is so thin it is nearly impossible to read in anything but direct, bright light and one must find exactly the correct angle to view the indicator.
Do not buy!

Cheap packaging, cheap plastic item and it didn't work at all. I know you get what you pay for but this item didn't even move. It stayed at 80 degrees. I put it in the refrigerator just to be sure, put it in microwaved water and both times stayed at 80 degrees. Definitely not worth my time to send it back for a refund, I just threw it away. Do not buy!
Waste of money

I ordered two of these to make sure that the temperature in my apartment wasn't too hot for storing heat-sensitive probiotic capsules during the summer months, which need to be stored at a temperature not higher than 77F. By coincidence, on the day the thermometers arrived, a city technician with an electronic thermometer who needed to check something measured the temperature in the warmest room at 73F without an air conditioner on. That was fine, but when I put up the Comark thermometers only a few hours later (and during the day), they read 78F in the same location in that room--and never dropped below 78F, even at night. They've gone up a degree or two in the 90F-plus heat wave we've been having, but usually they show only a few degrees lower even when the air conditioner is on. Conclusion: some reviewers seem to have had better luck with their Comark thermometers, so maybe it's a matter of quality control. But if I want to know what the temperature in my apartment is, I'm better off just guessing.
unfortunately not sturdy

The tube can actually be moved up or down from behind the unit (I guess the two dabs of glue behind the tube didnt hold), which can swing the temperature by over ten degrees Fahrenheit just based on how high or low you have the tube placed.
