Perfect fit on a 91 DS Club Car. Beware of loose welch plug.
spots✓ Verified Purchase•August 10, 2023
Perfect fit on a 91 DS Club Car. The engine runs a lot smoother now.
Having issues with engine cutting out when driving on rough terrain (I use the cart on a farm) but it works great on smooth driveway or pavement.
Tolerances on the adjusting screws feel a little sloppy but what can you expect for the low price?
Update 11/8/2017: Engine continued to cut out on bumpy terrain, but worse, after the weather cooled down the cart would hardly run at all. I removed the carb and found a welch plug in the bottom of the bowl. The plug fell out of the hole where the butterfly shaft protrudes down in the bowl chamber. Without the welch plug, gas was probably splashing up around the butterfly shaft and getting in the venturi in an uncontrolled manner and flooding the engine on bumpy terrain. On smooth driveway or pavement air was sucked around the shaft causing a lean condition which is why the cart would not run in cold weather.
I put the welch plug back in place with a punch and some permatex for good measure. The cart runs OK now with outside temps in the 40's. I have attached a photo showing the location of the welch plug.
Maybe I should have just asked the vendor to send a replacement? But what the heck, my curiosity got the best of me
I hope this helps somebody else if they have the same problem.
Update 10/13/2018: Same problems returned so I removed the carb and looked in the bowl and there was the welch plug on the bottom of the bowl again. This time I glued it back in place with some epoxy glue. The cart is now running fine again.
Update 1/12/2019: Deja vu all over again. Welch plug falls out again. The gas in the carb softened the epoxy. I should have used a gas resistant epoxy instead of regular household epoxy (My neighbor had this exact same problem with a carb from this vendor and he fixed it with JB Weld which so far is holding up). This time I also observed that the throttle shaft under the welch plug had worn out the hole that it passes through. I found some nylon tubing that fit over the shaft but did not bind to help prevent more wear. There is no bushing in the hole under the welch plug. I reinstalled the welch plug and this time I am trying to hold it in place with a glob of Permatex Ultra Black RTV.
Update 11/21/2019: Symptoms returned so I disassembled the carb and found the RTV failed (my mechanic friend told me this would happen). This time I cleaned the carb and glued the welch plug back in place with JB Weld. The saga continues..............
Update 12/5/2020: Cart is still running good after a year with the JB Weld SteelStik holding the welch plug in place. If you need to glue something in place in the presence of gas, try JB Weld. The End!

This carburetor worked wonderfully! It replaced another cheap carburetor that was a much lesser quality. I would buy one again. The golf cart runs excellent!
Cart purrs like kitten after installation.

The carb fits perfect. Linkage additional part must have been for different configuration. Set up and install instructions would have been great addition to an otherwise great product.
Bolt on and go
