Perfect OEM replacement LP detector

This is a perfect replacement for my OEM LP detector in my motorhome. It fit right into the original cutout of my old detector.
Inaccurate dimensions in specs and "compare to others"

Amazon does a lot right and I am a big fan but when it comes to some dimensions they are routinely way off. The initial item description says the out side dimensions are 63/8" x 27/8". That is correct, but when you look at the "compare to others" section they show wildly inaccurate dimensions. If you look further in specifications it specifies the hole size and the distance of how far apart the holes are incorrectly stated so here goes another product back. What people like e need to know is the size of hole needed to install/replace the one that was defective.
So glad to find this affordable unit to replace my failed sensor.

Worked great. Needed to replace my sensor (they are only expected to last 3-5 years) and this was pretty simple and affordable. We did have to cut a couple wires to install this unit, so make sure you have someone who understands wiring to install it.
Wouldn't trust it...if it's like the one I got.

This item arrived in a well-worn plastic baggie. Obviously had been connected before, judging by the wires. Probably a returned item. No box. Not something I'm going to trust my life to. Back it goes.

I provide a 3 star rating because these have such a short shelf life to begin with (supposedly 5 years), and they often don't last last 3! They are essential safety Irma, but for the price they should last longer.
