I bought 2 of these to keep with my blackstone grill I haul when camping, so much cheaper in the longrun to refill and also prevents so much trash. The savings is incredible saving about $6-$7 a bottle by refilling from a 20# cylinder. Easy to do, buy the adapter, turn the 20# tank upside down, screw on your refillable and it comes with a little wrench to bleed air out of the cylinder, when propane starts to spew just shut the little bleed screw and turn off the adapter and your done.!

Definitely a qualified 5 stars depending on how they work long term. It is a great concept if you consider the millions of potentially dangerous caninisters that are discarded every year. Obviously not for everyone though and I wouldn't recommend to anyone not totally comfortable and familiar with the process. Do it outside, period. Also you'll be working with an upside down fairly heavy 20lb tank and if any does go wrong it will be liquid propane that will be spraying out and it will be super easy then to get a freezer burn or worse start a fire. Have super respect for the process. They are VERY easy to fill with the Flame King kit . I got pretty good with the old freezer method of refilling the standard canisters but it's a cumbersome process and your target of 80% fill was hit or miss and I'd occasionally overfill. I always weigh so I'd just release the excess but that wastes gas. Some recommend pulling on the schrader overfill valves on these to accelerate the process but I never felt comfortable messing with them. The Flame King tanks have a bleed screw you crack open with a supplied hex wrench which accomplishes the same thing(allowing gas to escape so liquid propane can take it's place)and all with the cannister in the upright position.You can get these very close every time and your not fumbling with a canister in an awkward position.I do still weigh.When I have the 20lber set up I can fill one of these tanks in about a minute. These seem like their built to a very robust standard and everything on top is brass. I am a little nervous about some of the early issue problems, but they say the fixed that issue.If you use the Flame King refill kit be very carefull to make sure the small white tab seats into the slot on the cannister threaded top as I believe this is how some are snapping off the tabs. Its only there to prevent conventional cannisters from being used with their filler kit, and from my perspective is an unneccesary nuisance. If it breaks off your kit will still work, you'll just be able to fill the throwaway canisters now(I'm not trying to give prople ideas).It will be interesting to see if any other refillable cannisters in this price range appear. There is one other but it won't fit many, if not most recreational appliances designed for this size tank, and it costs about $50. I believe that with propane prices whre they are right now in my area(about $2.10 a gallon) I can fill one of these for about 50 to 60 cents. You can buy the throwaways in Walmart for about $3plus so if you use them a lot it''s qwite a savings, plus if you run out at home you won't have to drive to Walmart or someplace else.If they last I love them.

I saw this brand in a local store (for twice the price), and was intrigued that it was a legal bottle for refilling.
I'm not a 100% rule follower, but I've been around enough to know that many rules are in place for safety and common-sense reasons.
I tried just refilling the throw-away bottles, but they would leak on the shelf.
These bottles have been working great for some time now.
The bottles are well made and legal for refilling.

I can not recommend this highly enough.

FYI, there is a refill valve product these guys make that I would recommend looking into.
