Material thinner than expected and waistband is equally tight making them uncomfortable to wear.

I ended up returning my pair after trying on for two reasons.
1) I was disappointed with the thin material. I own a pair of men's Lululemon compression shorts and the material is very nice and does not feel or look thin. Lululemon doesn't seem to make them anymore for men, so I was hoping that these shorts would be similar given their price point. They are not.
2) I expected the fit to be tight, they are compression shorts, but the tightness continues through the waistband which basically gave me muffin top, even though I'm fairly lean guy. The Lululemon compression shorts do not do this either, the waistband looser than the compression part of the legs so the garment is more comfortable to wear.
Given that these were $80, not worth keeping an OK garment that I'm not too excited about.

Good bye leg day soreness!!!
BVarela✓ Verified Purchase•December 1, 2017
If I'm not at work I'm at the gym, but the soreness follows me to work always. When I workout legs I try to destroy them. I'm talking about a two and a half hour leg session to break them down only to create better looking legs. However you feel the aftermath days later. And there's nothing you can do to prevent the painful reminder of what you did to your self the previous past couple days. Until now, that is! First off this is designed for compression so they need to be tight. The tightness helps your legs, (that feel like spaghetti after a hard workout) from jiggling around from every step you take which causes pain. Remember, the sore pain comes from the fluid build up that increases pressure in the legs that then cause the pain. When your legs are trying to heal they are imflamed and cause third spacing. When the entire muscles groups are compressed, that cause zeroe chance of "third spacing", or pulling of fluid to a specific part of the body. Since third spacing is prevented, then normal circulation of blood flow can resume, if not faster circulation. The faster the circulation, the faster your blood can drop of nutrients to the area causing you heal rapidly. It's like night and day with these things on. I work on my feet 12hrs a shift and with these of I have so much more rage of motion and I can sit down and stand up with absolutely no problem. It also allows me to work out my legs twice a week. They are amazing!

I wear one or two pair of these every time I left and can't imagine life without them. Unlike other reviewers I went a size down rather than larger. 5'11" 180lbs and I am very happy in the small size. They fit perfectlywith a pair of boxer-briefs underneath, offer perfect compression, and have resisted all abuse and rough treatment for nearly a year. I wash them by hand in the bathtub and leave them in the towel rack, they are good to go the next day. Both look brand new after countless cycles, endless friction, and regular soaking in sweat and covering chalk. They are as key to my routine as my belt or lifting shoes if not more. A truly A+ product.
Poor durability
Jeff B✓ Verified Purchase•July 15, 2017
They are awesome while they last, which doesn't appear to be very long. I used these for long distance trail running on weekends for runs up to 30 miles in length. From a performance perspective, I was very pleased. However, holes formed along the stitching in the crotch within a month. This was only using them one weekends. For the price, the poor durability is inexcusable.
I've also tried the Hypotik and had the exact same issue.
I will not purchase again.

The compression is very good and there is no riding up of the material

These were pricey but well worth the cost! I use it for running and have done several 8+ mile runs and a 16 mile run. The compression is very good and there is no riding up of the material. I am 6'1", 180 lbs and I bought medium using the size chart on the 2XU website. I am not used to compression shorts so I am not sure if large would have been a better fit --- either way it is not a bad fit.
