I always loved Gillette razors but got sick of the hastle of buying them in the store and the ridiculius prices. Thought of trying a subscription service but I use my blades longer then recommended and didn't want the commitment to monthly service. So I did research and found dorco. I'm hooked. I have tried the 6+1 and the 7 but the regular 6 is my personal favorite. The 6+1 is ok but the single blade doesn't really work and adds to the back of the blade which makes it hard to clean/rinse. The 7 is amazing for a smooth shave but impossible to clean/rinse, wish it wasn't becasue it has the best shave. The 6 is same shave as 6+1, almost as smooth as the 7, but easy to rinse the hair and shave cream out. Although the 7 gives the best shave hands down the 6 is the best razor and what I will continue to order from Amazon.

I shave my head and my face every other day and I have used this twice already. I find this to give me an equal shave to my proglide which in my opinion is the "gold standard" for me. Equal with the proglide is good enough for me to give this 5 stars and to switch due to the price. Obviously every head is different so if you hate the proglide you probably won't like these. However I find them to give an exceptionally close shave with no irritation. Definately worth a try if you're tired of paying $18 for 4 cartridges like I was. I'm a customer for life.

Just to clarify, I have 2 dorco handles and I use a separate blade for my face vs my head. I find this should allow for longer use as I did the same win the proglide and got 6 weeks out of the one for my face and 4 for my head. If I get the same out of these I'll be thrilled.

A bit about me:
I am a hard working mom who has champagne taste on a beer budget, because of that over the years I have had to learn some creative ways to get what I wanted without going into debt. As a result of a whole lot of reading, practicing and fen angling I have become one savvy shopper. The way I see it my money has to work for me so if I can get what I need at a lower cost without giving up quality than I can have more money for what I want. I have learned to rely heavily on reviews and word of mouth and some trial and error and discovered that a lot of lesser known brands are working twice as hard as big corporations to get your business so much hey are willing to give you an equivalent product at lower price in order to become known. We all know its not a bargain if you have to use twice as much or you feel cheap using it.

Dorco is a name you can trust to equal quality!

I am a woman and have always preferred the men's razor systems over the woman's in comparison with my current favorite the Gillette fusion this razor wins hands down.

What works for me:

The handle is sturdy and feels to me to be the same quality as other popular brands I have used

The blades attach securely to the razor handle it has survived many drops without having to stop and reattach.

The blades last for me close to two weeks actually longer than my Gillette fusion blades

Budget friendly blade replacements it costs less than $25 for approximately 12 replacement blades with Dorco vs $28 for approximately 8 Gillette fusion blades .

Dorco has great customer service if you could not act them they respond.

What doesn't work for me:

6 blades might b a little too close of a shave for my lady parts I had terrible razor burn on my legs.

Overall, an A+ product, and a company with an A+ customer service team.

I was a bit skeptical when buying these razors and blades. I figured the low price was indicative of their quality. I was tired of shelling out big bucks for similar name brand razors though. I couldn't have been more wrong. These blades provide me the same close shave and and last just as long as the name brand ones; at a fraction of the price. The razor is solidly made and feels heavy, but not overly so, in your hand.

I recommend these to anyone who wants the same shaving experience as a high end razor/blade system, but doesn't want to pay the ridiculously high cost.

Note - Spend a little more if you can and get the blades with the trimming blade on the back. It comes in handy.

Dorco rocks!

I've probably spent $35 to shave in the last 8 months and I still have 12 blades left. To be fair, I work from home most of the time so I don't always shave every day. I shave if I have to go into public, a meeting or an appointment. Mostly because I try NOT to look homeless. I bought a starter Pace 6 set with handle, holder, and 10 blades late last year..

I was down to 2 blade and than Amazon Prime Day hit and I saw the same (but updated) Pace 6 set on sale. I bought the set again since I broke my holder. My old handle is now my travel one.

These are just plain AWESOME but like all other brands, the more blades, the more things stick in and you end up having to run it under hot water and bang it on the side of sink. The Dorcos have a rubber section that allows you to do that without sounding like a shaving woodpecker. When I did that with my old Gillette blades it would drive my wife nuts.
