These are amazing knives. So sharp, love the holder. We had ceramic knives, they chipped, broke, handles broke. Had to be so careful with them. These are much stronger forged steel. The holder keeps them super sharp. My husband and I like "sharp" knives. Just be careful with them.

Great knives!! People mentioned rusting but if you just wash and dry them after use, like you should always do, they are perfect. They come very sharp and do need to be sharpened often but easy to do.

After 2 hours in the ER and 6 stitches for my boyfriend on Christmas Day, I would rate these 6 out of 5 stars for sharpness. BE CAREFUL! The glass block is very nice and easy to install and dismantle for washing. The knives are excellent -- in addition to my boyfriend's thumb they slice sponges like butter as you clean them so I recommend only using sponges on a stick. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone looking to have a really good new knife set--with a warning to be careful when cleaning them (and using in general). We haven't used all of the knives yet but the bread, butcher, and utility knives and they are sturdy and efficient.

Love the design of this knife set. Looks great in my kitchen. Have only used the smaller knives so far. Just take care of them and hand wash them and they should last a long time.
