We've just set it up for the first time: 10/17/2021

The instruction / assembly manual should of been solely for the tree that was in the box.
The parts / connectors for the tree lights should of been better marked and in conjunction (better explained) with the instruction / assembly manual.
I should of bought a tree of this height / size with a pole connect simpler assembly system.
900 LED lamps were just ok.
A tree for this price should come with a minimum of 1200 lamps.
The 10 function push button controller works just fine / does the trick.

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE-After decorating, I've raised from 3-4 stars. It is a lovely tree. I do wish needles were a bit different, and still not as full as I expected but I am pleased.

I purchased this tree, despite a good portion of negative reviews. I am starting out by saying that I am a picky tree person. I had an artificial tree for many years that was just gorgeous. This one was automatically compared. Positives: The tree was received in a very timely fashion. The packaging was intact. I was prepared to spend a great deal of time shaping and fluffing the tree. It was neatly packaged and assembly and shaping instructions were clear. Assembly was
Not difficult but the fluffing and shaping is a nightmare. As suggested, I shaped one section and then added the next to be shaped-beginning with the lowest branches and shaping then working upwards. I spent roughly 3 hours shaping and fluffing and will probably continue to do so over the next few days. The tree is fairly full, but not as much as I had hoped
Negatives: 1. The tree looks nothing like the picture, but it is a pretty enough tree. No amount of shaping will make the tree I received look like the tree pictured. 2. The lights aren't strung well and on the very ends of the branches, only. They actually made it difficult to shape the tree at times. 3. It is a very "rough" material and does scratch your hands over time.. I could have gotten this tree for half the price at any local "big box" store.
4. It is not as sturdy as I had hoped, but should suffice. 5- I thought it had power connect lights and for the price, it should have but doesn't.
Over all-It is a decently pretty and full tree with a sufficient amount of lights. I will quite likely save money and get a Balsam Hill Tree next year or purchase from a local retailer where I can see the tree. For less than 40 additional dollars, there was a much prettier tree at Lowe's. If you want this tree, just be prepared to spend a lot of time shaping and fluffing and know that what you see pictured is not the tree you'll receive.

Update #3: Well here we are, one year later and my lights are not working again. I called their customer service line, held for 30 min before someone answered. I was told that even tough my tree was repaired under warranty, now that it is not working again it is no longer under warranty and there is nothing they will do. Clearly, this is a manufacture defect and yet they are not willing to take accountability for it. I have asked to escalate to a supervisor and will also contact Amazon directly. Note to self, just buy from Costco as they will stand behind any product! Update #2: the tree arrived and the lights work perfectly again. They also provided a new and improved stand. Thank you for making things right National Tree Company.

Update: National Tree company made things right and accepted the tree back for repair. I had to push to get to the right person that would help me but once I did they were very supportive and accommodating. It's currently in route back to me and once I set it up and will update again.

Original review with 1 star: I am so disappointed in my purchase from National Tree Company. I owned my previous tree for 10 years. I decided to upgrade to a pre-it tree for convenience and to have white and colored light options. Six days after my one year purchase anniversary i put up my tree to see what others have described, the tree lights do not illuminate at the same brightness consistently. I have tried re-wiring every which direction without a solve. When I called, 6 days after my purchase date they told me they could help but I was outside of the "repair window" and to call back the following year. I called in September, thinking ahead of Christmas and I was told because I called 6 days past the one year purchase date I would be responsible for shipping a 9' tree for repair and also that the repair window ends in June. So here I am faced with another holiday season with a defective tree after spending nearly $500. They are going to call me back and if they make things right I will update my review.

When tree is up and all the branches are open and separated it looks full as you can see in the picture. When you are putting it together I suggest spreading all the branches out before adding the next level. I also suggest wearing some gloves when doing so, even thin latex one to protect your hands from the branches. I didn't for the first 1/2 of the tree and mine got so scratched up, red and irritated. It took me about a good hour to do. Once it's done it looks great and the branches are sturdy. I do wish it had more lights on it. Definitely nicer then the ones we saw in any local stores!

We are super happy with this tree! We were pretty skeptical at first since the box came very beat up and half of the stand was hanging out. Once we got it out there didn't seem to be much damage to the tree. It comes apart in 4 different sections making it super easy to put up and take down. There are little branch toward the back of the limbs to help fill gaps which I love! Once you take the time to spread out all the branches (believe me it takes a good while), it will surprise you how full it turns out! All the different light choices are beautiful and the foot pedal makes it so easy to change. I only give four stars because the pictures make it seem like the branches would be soft, but they are not. Otherwise, we are very happy with our purchase!

Update- please beware that in order for your tree topper to be plugged in, you will have to run an extra cord up the tree to plug it in. The only plug at the top of the tree is for National Tree Company products only and they only carry two options for a tree topper. Definitely not impressed with this considering the price of the tree.
