I LOVE the YAMAZAKI home TOWER-Laddle & Lid Stand!!! I was looking for a new ladle stand/spoon rest and I found this, and boy am I glad I did!! I read the reviews on this as well as may other lid stands, ladle stands, and spoon rests, and this one was by far the best one. I bought it and immediately stated using it in my kitchen. It works perfectly!! It holds everything from small, medium, and even big glass lids that go to large frying pans without tipping over! Its so easy to use!
It also works well for holding an iPad or a cook book!
I absolutely LOVE IT!!! No more trying to balance a big glass lid on the counter or searching for a place to set the hot lid, now I can easily just set it on this stand without burning myself or melting anything!!! I think it is a must for any kitchen!! I'm probably going to get one for all of my friends and family next Christmas! :D
I recommend this ladle and lid stand to anyone with a kitchen!!

Very good lid holder, but tippy with large/heavy lids

It's capable of holding my largest cook book, 10 inch Lodge cast iron lid, and 14 inch stainless pot lid. The silicone drip plate removes for cleaning. Although the lid holder won't fit in most cabinet drawers, it will fit on a cabinet shelf or in a deep pot drawer. I'm unable to use this as a spoon rest when a large lid is on it, but that doesn't bother me--I have other spoon rests. I've included some pictures, which should show you that the top edge of a large lid extends several inches beyond the base. Yes, this does make it tippy towards the back, so if you are clumsy (like me!) and are using large lids, be sure to put a towel on the counter behind the lid holder so you don't push it over and crack your countertop.
Could be a tad bit heftier to provide stability for large, heavy Le Creuset lids, which must be carefully placed. Great tool!

Nice for holding heavy lids that are difficult to manage when hot, such as those for my (many) Le Creuset pots and pans. The only caveat is that it could be a tad bit heftier so that no tip-overs could occur--the largest lids must be carefully placed to avoid unbalanced weight. Otherwise, terrific tool!
Great stand for the kitchen

I just received this stand. I tested it by putting two large cooking spoons and a large heavy glass stock pot lid and it worked really well. I love the fact that my glass lids get full of steam and that drips down to the rubber plate at the bottom of the stand. I then tested my iPad and I loved it enough to order a second just for my iPad which I use for all my recipes.
Great for holding pan lids and ladles and also wonderful as an IPad stand. Solidly weighted, not flimsy.

This has become a staple in my kitchen...and often used elsewhere as well. It can hold a ladle (or spoon, etc) and a large lid at the same time, controlling drips, keeping them off my counters. It's a solid and nicely weighted stand, not a lightweight, not easily tipped ( it's never tipped as long as I've had it )
I can also use it as an iPad stand when I'm following directions for an online recipe or perhaps reading or watching movies. It's a great multi-purpose stand.
