Was hopeful with the price point but this item failed. I received the product yesterday in the mail and threw in the wash following care instructions. I pulled items out of wash and noticed a hole in one pot holder. Pretty sure these will be in the trash by year end.
Fell apart on first wash

I tossed them into the washer with a load of towels as soon as they arrived. When the wash was done they looked in bad shape but I hoped it was just stray threads I could clip after they dried. As you can see see in the photos, it wasn't a few stray threads. I'm returning for credit.
Small and quality questionable

These are smaller than expected,and after washing one it shrunk and the silver coating came off. I admit that I washed it hot, on the label it says "wash cold" but how good is that for an item that is used in the kitchen with food stains etc...On the one I did not wash,the silver coating starts coming off too. The thickness is ok though, so it still does what it's supposed to - save my fingers from burning...The small size makes it a bit awkward to handle.

I'm still liking these potholders. I thought I'd upload some photos showing the difference between a new potholder and one that has been laundered a few times. They wash up fairly well. I think this is a good value.

I purchased these four months ago. I paid seven dollars for three grey potholders. I think they're fine potholders for that price. I've washed and dried them several times. I like these because they're easy to use; they're flimsy but in a good way. I don't care for super thick potholders that make it difficult to grip hot bakeware. These are fairly small and that's exactly what I hoped for. Two of the potholders are slightly coming apart (nothing major). I think I can snip off the unraveling parts. Aside from that, I'm really happy with these.
Additionally, washing and drying potholders will typically wear down the heat resistant side making it more likely to burn yourself. So far, that hasn't been a problem. I'm ordering the yellow set now.

These are very sick well made potholders, they can also be used to put on the counter to put a pan on top of. I have not put them through the washing machine but I have been able to clean these off with sponge and water and it did the job.
I love the fact that they are black one issue I found with items I buy for my kitchen that are black is they usually gather lint. I have not had a problem with lint and I also have not seen any of the fabric tearing which leads me to believe these are very well-made.
