Reads zero for pressure from -0.1 to 0.1 inH2O

Even though the resolution is 0.01inH2O the readout is 0.00 for the range of pressure from -0.1 to 0.1. This seems to be the same trick used in bathroom scales to fool the customer that the automatic zero works.
I used the following technique to measure below 0.1:
1/ apply any pressure above 0.2inH2O (say x) and press and release the DIF button.
2/ measurement of open air will now read -x.
3/ measurement of the desired pressure can be made by the change in reading from open air with a resolution of 0.01inH2O.

Supco buys this unit, and put's there name on it. It's a decent unit, with brass (not plastic) tube connects. The plastic tubing is kind of cheap though.

I had a new furnace installed but the contractor did not want to do a static pressure test without $$$. I bought this and am ordering probes soon, but the initial test reviled that my air filter had a significant drop across it making the system work harder than optimal. It is within specs but I will look for a filter with less drop across it. .
Accurate and useful instrument for reading small pressures.

I was using a home made slack tube manometer to troubleshoot my furnace.
I decided I needed something better and this had a very reasonable price.
Works great, very accurate and repeatable.
The package and the manual both state that the battery is included, however the amazon page says it is not. The Amazon page is correct.
So plan on providing your own 9 volt battery to power this.
Comes with tubing, 1/8" adapter and carrying case. Great accessories.
