Wonderful dish for butter and other things

This little dish is perfect for the mini-loaves of bread I bake regularly. They fit the dish and it's a great way to keep them fresh and presentable. I searched high and low online for something like this and, seeing it on Amazon, I measured my little loaf pan and , by golly, the size was right. And it is very durable, washable, and beautiful. If I could give it more stars, I would.

This butter dish is exactly what I needed. The acrylic is easy to clean and easy to put in the dishwasher when you really need to get all of the butter out of the dish, but you can also wipe it down easily with a cloth when you are just tidying up around the kitchen. The size is large enough to fit two large sticks of butter, or if you are used to buying the European size large "Costco-esque" slabs of butter, you can fit one half of one of those into the dish instead. The metallic knob on the top of the dish makes it easy to grab the top to get the butter out. I have owned dishes in the past that were glass with no knob and the grease from the butter makes it much more difficult to take the top off and get to the butter inside. This dish makes things so much easier because of the knob. Best of all, the price is right and it seems like a high quality item. Overally, great butter dish and a good buy!

I have wanted a butter dish for a long time and just havent gotten around to getting one. I was going to get a porcelain one but didnt want to spend the money so I went with acrylic.
Its very light but very nice. I dont know what would happen if I dropped it - I have a feeling it would crack but I dont know for sure.
The nice thing about this one is that you can fit 2 sticks in it. I like that because I like to have my butter out so its soft and when it gets to the end of the stick I can add a new one in so it will be soft by the time the other stick is gone.

I bought this a few months ago, and waited to review it until my family had really "used it". The best thing about it, is that it holds 3 regular sticks of butter in it with ease, which in our household is needed. I place 2 sticks next to each other and then the other stick at the bottom of the other 2 sticks (no squeezing needed). There is not much room for sticks of butter ontop of each other. The top of the dish has a small grip/button to remove it, it doesn't seem to have any issues with falling off or being too small to use easily. I was a little hesitate about the dish, thinking that since it is clear I wouldn't be able to hide any mess that butter looks like after being used some. After a few months of use, it really doesn't seem to be an issue that it is clear. It is pretty helpful being clear because I can easily see if I need to add to it, as I have a family that doesn't replace things without being told too. The last dish that I had was ceramic and was broken, which is why I bought this one. It has held up and I would say it is quite durable as my family has not broken it. It is easily cleaned and goes thru the dishwasher just fine, with no issues to this point.

I never thought I would struggle to buy a butter dish in my life, but I did. I read several reviews here at Amazon before deciding to get this one and I was pleased enough to even take pictures to help other frustrated researchers like myself.
Pros:
- I considered the acrylic to be sturdy enough.
- I liked the fact that the base has a high rim where the lid wraps around, keeping it in place, unlike many I have seen.
- We buy the Kerry Gold from Costco and it fits perfectly in it.
Cons:
- The knob does suck. It's not an impediment, but it is quite small.
