Although mine came with a chip in the enamel, Amazon quickly remedied it with some credit. The grill is your basic, but classic, Weber kettle. Heats up well when the coals are properly lit... I recommend getting a chimney to help your lighting!
UPDATE 3/7/2018: My review was seen by Weber Online Consumer Care Specialists and help was passed along. I was unaware of the registration process for Weber grills and was instructed to register my grill and continue to make contact to clearly identify the issues I encountered. Not only were the Weber representatives quick to respond, they've helped resolve the situation beyond what I expected. I'm looking forward to the replacement components to keep my Weber Kettle grill in great shape for many years to come! Great brand, company, and product!

When we downsized from our big family home to a townhouse with a small balcony, we gave up our large gas grill but we found we really missed grilling. Since we have always preferred the flavor of foods grilled over charcoal to those cooked on the gas grill, we decided to purchase a new charcoal grill. Having had several Webers in various sizes in the past, this grill was a natural choice. My kids and I chipped in and bought it for my very hard-to-buy-for husband for his November birthday.

He was thrilled with the rich copper color which we are using as an accent color throughout our home.

The grill was easy to assemble, only taking a few minutes. It is sturdy and has a very "quality" look and feel.

Normally it is just the two of us eating but the grilling surface is huge and easily accommodates cooking for a crowd. I think we did 12 burgers and a few hot dogs at once for a family party. We have used it for chicken, grilled veggies, steaks, pork roast, grilled pineapple and more. In fact, I rarely turn on my stove now! Once of our favorite easy meals is to add a few extra topping and extra cheese to a frozen pizza and bake it on the hot grill"¦much better than take-out pizza and so quick and convenient!

Back in the day, the ash catchers on charcoal grills were messy and difficult to empty without getting covered in soot. Not so with the new design which does a better job of containing the ashes and makes clean up a breeze. We oil the grates with a little olive oil spray before cooking making cleaning the grates less of a chore. There are other handy "new" features as well such as the lid handle that does not get hot and hooks for hanging your utensils.

Most importantly to us, the grill, even with its huge cooking surface, does not take up a lot of space on our tiny deck (not like a bulky gas grill).

We love our Weber Kettle and recommend it to anyone looking for a grill.

Excellent Weber product. Glad I upgraded to the Premium version, less mess using the ash catcher.
Light enough to move around for maintenance. large 22" grill space can cook a lot of food.
Many accessories available to tailor to your cooking style. I've used the Slow N Sear PLUS accessory and it works great! Don't put tin foil underneath it.

I never trust the built in temp probe as that is the lid temp, not the grate temp. but it looks nice.
TIP: After assembly and before first use, use a permanent marker to mark the handle position of the lower vent. Mark the position at @ Fully closed, @ half open, @ ALL the WAY OPEN. this way it's easier to adjust once you're cooking and you don't have to lift the lid.
TIP: if you use a remote thermometer with temp probe, don't put it under the lid, use the vent holes on top of the lid or drill a small hole in the lower half of the kettle just under the cooking grate.

I love Weber grills; however, with my brand new grill, the grilling rack warped on its first use. Not certain if they are using a lighter metal or what.

The Weber Premium arrived in perfect condition, was easy to assemble, and I have cooked several meals the past week. It has the quality others have described and I look forward to many cooking experience on it. I got the Slow and Sear Plus as an accessory and can smoke, do low and slow and reverse sears with ease. I realize this can be done without the Slow and Sear but like the convenience. There are a lot of accessories for this grill to enhance cooking. I like the hinged cooking grate for ease of adding additional charcoal while grilling.
