THESE COOKIES DO NOT LOOK ANYTHING LIKE THE PICTURE. THERE IS NOT ONE SESAME SEED ANYWHERE. THEY ARE MUSHY AND DO NOT TASTE LIKE A SESAME COOKIE. I HAVE BEEN BUYING SESAME COOKIES FOR YEARS AND THIS HAS TO BE MY WORST PURCHASE. AND TO TOP IT OFF THERE IS NO RETURNS, I JUST THREW AWAY OVER 30.OO FOR 24 COOKINGS, WHAT A RIPOFF...

Since I was a little kid, I remember my mother's love for Stella D'Oro's sesame cookies. Over the years, she's searched off and on to find them again. I did a little research and found out a pretty good reason why they're so hard to find: they've been discontinued for many years. I wanted to surprise her with something I thought would be a good ringer , (I'd make an attempt myself, but my job has me traveling cross country for months at a time & would not be home in time for
Mother's Day) these cookies are not only very expensive for what you get, they don't even come close to the familiar Stella D'Oro sesame cookies, which makes the price that much more of a jip. She told me in the most bubble-wrapped way possible to never buy these again. The flavor was bland and under baked, as Stella's has got a good, warm toasty flavor to them without burning the cookie or sesame seeds. I should have known from how pale they looked in the picture. Lesson learned...A PRICEY lesson...and I now have a cookie project slated for my next home time...she is GOING to have "those" sesame cookies even if I have to make them myself (which it looks like I will after this bust of a purchase)...

Good taste, properly packaged (amatuerish, but not a single cookie broken). Would buy again. Suggestion is that these cookies are usually a darker brown in color and a little crispier. I like 'em.
