The hammer is removable which was a nice surprise because my son enjoys playing with it just as much as he does the figurine.

When you first open the toy it feels very cheaply made and is light weight. My son didn't care he loved them! He plays with them all the time and they seem to hold up REALLY well! You can't go wrong with the price. And if it makes my son happy and holds up well then it makes this mom really happy!

I bought this along with the equivalents of the rest of The Avengers toys, for my 3 year old son for Christmas 2015, and so far he absolutely loves it. It is easy to move the arms and legs, and definitely matches the original look of the character down to the smaller details. For the price, you really can't ask for much more. Play time is now Avengers time for this little goofball!.
