A solar charger that can actually pick up a charge off the sun

I've got a few (ok, a lot of) portable chargers. This is the first fold-out panel version I've bought and so far, I really like it. It's been out and about with me for a month or so and is showing signs of good durability. I think the thin leather strap will probably fail first - other chargers have more solid nylon straps. However, this fold out solar array can actually add an appreciable amount of power to the battery unlike the ones where its just one panel on the back of the battery case. It fits nicely on a standard small backpack when unfolded, but packs up small and holds a lot of power. The light is ok, pretty bright for how small it is. All in all, I'm happy with it.
Excellent to keep your iPhone charged up... solar is good.

I think 10,009 mAH might be a bit too high but it works great. Does take three full days to solar charge up the empty banks.... most other single solar /battery chargers would take 10 days.
It works great if you want to keep your iPhone (6s) fully charge while outside gardening / camping / hiking while listening to music. If solar panels in light, the the batteries of your iPhone and Solar charger are full still. Would buy another

I bought this along with a few USB battery packs (portable cell chargers) and a few other USB rechargeable devices (a personal fan, camping lights, emergency radio, flashlight, etc) to put in my emergency kit for extended power outages. Although I live in a hurricane prone area my power very rarely goes out, so this was a good compromise to buying a generator I may never use while still providing basic necessities. I tested it with two battery packs plugged in with the solar panel in full sun and was pleased with the recharge rate. On a bright sunny day I should be able to recharge most of my devices so I can use them overnight, which is exactly what I was looking for. The fact that it folds up to a small size for storage is ideal for this use.

I have one of these for when I go camping. They work great. Took about an hour to charge my phone from 30% to fully charged on a sunny day. I was camping with my dad and when he saw how well it worked he got one for himself.
It comes in a nice slim case. I would say it's about the size of an Ipad and it has nice little pockets to keep wires. It it wonderfully in my pack and doesn't weight alot. I love this thing and has been good to me. I've dropped it a few times and still works so it's built well. I am 24 years old and love to hike and I have no doubt this would hold up to a week long hike. Haven't done it yet but will be soon.
