Worth the effort

As mentioned by others, this hose can be hard to put on at first. Allow some extra time. Once I got the hang of it, it is not that difficult and the results are well worth the effort. My legs don't swell up the way they used to with out the support hose. I also like that they line dry really quickly, since the care directions specify hand washing and line drying. I wash them when I take them off at night and they are ready to go in the morning.
Great Fit and Comfortable!!!

Purchased for the wife. Her doctor prescribed this type of pantyhose for the treatment of varicose veins. She originally purchased the BrightLeafs Opaque Compression Pantyhose and absolutely hated them. She said that they were extremely hot, uncomfortable, and didn't fit right. We then purchased the Ames Walker brand and she loves them! The very first thing she did was throw the other pair of pantyhose in the trash and told me to order her a second pair of these!
Good price though and they seem pretty durable

They are slightly small but moving into the mediums causes the hose to bunch up at the knees and cut off circulation. I cut out the toes to allow just a little extra room. Good price though and they seem pretty durable.
Buy these only if its for dresses and work, they are not the right ones if its for everyday use for support

I did return these, but only because i had bought the wrong style , i was looking for the heavy made ones not the sheers. I need the extra support , these would be great for the office ect. , but i need them for everyday use under my clothes , and these would run in just a few wears ... But if you were to just use these with dress or what ever I would diffidently them buy them Ames is one of the top makes of support stockings and they work very well.
Great post-procedure compression stockings

I purchased these stockings for use after a sclerotherapy procedure. I am 5'8", 155 lbs and I purchased both the L and XL. I am keeping the XL, as the L was simply too hard to put on. I am a young, physically fit person and I was sweating trying to get even the XL on; I don't know how an elderly person with limited mobility could do this. My recommendation is to put a little baby powder on your heels to help them slip on better (the hard part is getting the fabric over your foot; you're home free after that!) Once I did manage to get them on, they work great. They are comfortable, and provide a good amount of compression. The price is reasonable, considering I am only going to wear them for 2 weeks. I opted for these stockings over thigh highs since I didn't want the silicone of thigh highs to press on the injection sites. I'd recommend buying 2 pairs if you are getting them for post-procedure use, since you will need to rotate them (one to wear/one in the wash).
