It fits great and will be really good when she has her ...

I bought the extra large for my female Rhodesian ridgeback. It fits great and will be really good when she has her surgery next month. She is terrified of the "cone of shame" and it gives her terrible anxiety, so this will be a good alternative.
Update* My girl had her surgery a few days ago and I'm happy to report this suit has made a world of difference. No cone anxiety and she hasn't bothered her incision at all. The suit is easy to remove for potty breaks, it fits well and it does not chafe or bother her at all. This is an excellent alternative to the cone of shame. The vet also approved!

Sizing Tricky!

I purchased the suitical recovery suit in pink camo for my 6mth old 17 pound Boston Terrier 'Lola' to wear after being spayed.
Hoping this helps you decide on the right size for your puppy with similar measurements, as the sizing chart proved tricky for me... I measured Lola to be 19 inch length (scruff of neck to tail); 20 inch girth (around largest part of chest) and 13 width (around neck).
I'll start with the positives: The packaging is excellent and the quality of the material looks pretty durable, its quite thick and soft. Will see how it holds up after machine washing.
The sizing chart says that small is 17 - 20 " length (scruff of neck to tail) and the small plus is 19 - 23 " length (scruff of neck to tail).
To be safe I purchased both... Tried on the small first which happened to be too large, considering the description indicates that the fit should be snug. Obviously if the small is too large I'll be sending back the small plus.
I got both suits delivered the morning of her surgery, so ended up having her wear the small to bed as the Well & Good Inflatable Collar which I also purchased as an 'in-case' seemed to be a bit clumsy for her to wear in her crate (she couldn't turn around without it hitting the sides of the crate). Lets just say I got little to no sleep because I was very paranoid that she could get to her stitches as the space around her hind legs was quite gaping. But that was a result of my poor planning, should have ordered way in advance to ensure I had the correct size!
I plan to purchase the x-small 16 - 18 " length (scruff of neck to tail) later today and hope that it (1) is not too tight around the neck as the small neck is perfect; (2) won't have an excess amt of space around the hind legs and (3) does not fit too snug in the belly area (would rather have no friction around her scar area).
Will update when I get the x-small!
UPDATE (2weeks after initial purchase): Ok so the x-small was too tight around her neck so returned that as well... Since then we have purchased another small in order to alternate when we wash every 2 days. I machine wash on regular cycle/ hot water using Ecos laundry detergent. They have both shrunk a tad bit but are still loose enough so it does not cause friction on her stitches. The material is definelty of good quality because the color has not faded too much. I've added update pics so you can see how the leg space is much smaller from the shrinkage.

She ripped two of those suits like a wrestler rips his shirts off
Bulldog♡✓ Verified Purchase•January 3, 2018
I have ordered other, more expensive suits that the neck and leg holes were cut out by pinking shears. She ripped two of those suits like a wrestler rips his shirts off. As seen in the pictures the leg holes and neck hole have seams and different material to ensure, comfort for the dog, and will hopefully prevent her from ripping the outfit off. Also this suit has a second lining to protect from heat cycle stains. Anyone who has been through that knows how the pads never stay in place. I thought a small would never fit, but it fit perfectly, even though she is pushing 80 lbs. (I ordered a small plus) She tried every way possible to rub this outfit off and it stayed on. Time will tell how well this suit holds up. I will be ordering a back up one today.
Very nice quality but bigger than you would think

I got one of these for my 15 pound shih tsu who had bladder surgery. It works well, seems good quality, nice soft t-shirt kind of lining in the tummy area. You can unsnap it and roll it up to let your dog do it's business. It has gone through the wash several times, fading slightly to be expected. Even though the tag said do not use a dryer, I put it in with a couple towels and dried it anyway. Came out great. I ordered a small+, figuring a little bigger was better than too small, but whoa! very big! After wearing it the first day, it was way too big for her, did not give her support, and when she laid around and slept her legs would slip back into the holes and get inside the suit. So I just sewed a seam down each side from front leg hole to back leg hole and also sewed the snap end on the back up about an inch and it worked fine. Still a little long, but we made do. Just saying, it's bigger than you might think based on regular dog sizes for sweaters and such. Soft t-shirt kind of material, soft fold down neck. I would purchase it again if needed. Good luck with your fur baby!
Awesome alternative to cone of shame!

I'm so glad we purchased Suitical Recovery Suits for our Golden Retriever's post-surgery care. The suit is pretty easy to get on her and she actually really likes it as it seems to make her feel secure. We didn't want our baby to have the added discomfort of that awful plastic cone. She weighs about 67 pounds and the large fits just right. We purchased two so we could wash one and have one on her. The instructions say not to put it in the dryer but I did try the dryer on one of the suits using the extra low setting and it came out just fine. The suit has kept her incision clean and prevents her from licking the area. The snaps in back work well and we just pull it forward and snap the back side up on top when she needs to use the dog run. The neck area is a bit snug but she doesn't seem to mind and after I washed it I was able to stretch it out a little. I can't say every dog will like wearing this as my Mom's Golden pup is not exactly thrilled to have it on.
