Coming apart at the seams

I love the look of these little elves. I was a little disappointed when they arrived and were falling apart right out of the box. Thankfully I am quite handy and was able to glue them back together and they now look really nice. I normally would have sent them back, but I figured that I might run into the same problem, so I simply fixed what I had.

Why I bought this product: Decoration for Christmas and to take some cute photos of my daughter (use these as props)
What I really like: They are super cute and unique. I really did not want the same "˜Elf on the Shelf' that everyone has now that they are so popular. These are really cute. I was able to make some little bases for them to sit on so they could sit up on a shelf. They are a good size and I got many compliments on how adorable they are.
What I really do not like: The female elf doll had a small tear in the fabric and I could see these easily falling apart if they are played with at all. Definitely just for decoration. I was also hoping that these would sit up right.
Packaging: My items were shipped right away, and I received prompt notification. I received it on time and it came as expected.

For decoration only...

I was pretty disappointed when I received these elves. Their size is good, but the quality of construction is terrible! They feel very cheaply made and their outfits are most hot glued together instead of sewn. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the yarn hair is only on the front side of the elves and they are bald on the backside. I worry that any ding would also create a dent on their heads- they feel almost like they are made of foam core and not stuffing. I bought these for my kids to play with over the holidays, but I know they would quickly fall apart. If you intend on keeping these on a shelf for decorating, they are fine. But if they are a gift or to be handled at all, I would pass.
