The 42RLE shifts like brand new now, better than ever.

Ok, so far so great at 40,000 miles I replaced the filter and fluid for my 2003 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with the 42RLE transmission.
I exchanged it with standard ATF+4 Mopar approved synthetic fluid. I was installing a new deeper trans pan for better cooling since the Jeep is primarily driven off road. I came across the Schaeffer All Trans, read the reviews and hoped that it would improve the shifting and cooling of the trans for slow speed trail rides.
So far the improvement is fantastic the Jeep has always shifted awkwardly from 3rd to 4th and 4th to 3rd. The immediate improvement was to this shift, it is only noticeable by the tach now, you can only tell the shift as occurred when you see the tach, change RPM's, you can no longer feel it.
I trust the off-road shifting will improve as well.

this is great transmission fluid for a 68RFE in a 2012 ram 2500 6.7L cummins
My Goerend transmission pan holds 4 extra quarts
So I got out about 11 quarts
Actually I just stopped there
If I waited long enough I probably could've gotten out 12
So the remainder fluid left in the torque converter gotten very diluted with this fluid
Which I emailed Schaeffer's about and they said it's perfectly fine to mix it with the leftover ATF +4
My transmission definitely runs a couple of degrees cooler now
Which I've seen others say the same
I will be dumping it again in a few months to dilute it even further
But I am just amazed that even if it's not pure Schaeffers oil it still makes a difference
I also run Schaeffers 9000 5W 40 with great results
It's almost time to drain my engine oil
Still looks gold
