WOW! So pleasantly surprised!!

So I have these amazing knee high, light brown leather boots that I got in college that I loved and wore all the time back then, but haven't been able to zip them up over my calves in years. I took up running after college and am now in my 30s so obviously my body has changed since then, but I've never had the heart to give the boots away (partly because I always hoped I'd be able to get back into them and partly because they weren't cheap!)
So when I saw this product on a buzzfeed list, I figured it was worth a shot! I've tried a few other products over the years, but nothing had worked before. I tried this today and WOW! It worked so well! I sprayed my boots, zipped them up as far as I could (only about an inch and a half shy of the top), wore them around the house for about 2-3 hours, and voila! I was actually able to zip them the rest of the way up!! They were still pretty snug but they zipped!! Yay! It says to wear until the leather is dry and repeat if you need more stretch, so I did repeat the process again and am so happy with the result! 10/10 would recommend!!
Good stuff

Works really well, but very expensive @ $10.00 for 4 oz. 50/50 alcohol/water works just as well.
The best solution to help stretch your boots/shoes!

Dear FootMatters,

I bought this spray because I just bought a pair of Thursday Loggers in Cacao and I normally wear a size 9.5 but these boots were not built on the same last as my other Thursday Captain boots. The Loggers were a bit snug around the forefoot while made it difficult to wear for long periods. Anything over an hour was getting uncomfortable and annoying. I had no other options but to try this solution and hope for the best. The Loggers I purchased was the most expensive pair of TBC boots at a little over $300 with tax. When I got the boot it seemed to fit ok so I'm not sure what happened but I could not wear these Loggers comfortably now. Annoyed and since I couldn't exchange them because they were already worn outside and the boot has begun to crease. I love everything about these boot but I was left with no choice so I took a chance on this product and boy am I glad I did.

The instructions were simple. Saturate the areas that is tight with the solution and then go walk around until the solution dries up. Repeat as necessary. I followed the instruction to the T. I sprayed the forefoot and the toe cap area with so much solution I could feel it damp on the inside of the leather. Then I put on the boots and went to ikea with my wife. We walked around for an hour and I could feel it working as my feet were not hurting. Right before I went to bed I sprayed the solution on the forefoot and toe cap and then I shoved my Cobblers Choice boot tree with a wool sock folded in half and I jammed it into my boots. Doing this made my troubled area extremely tight. When I woke up this morning I could tell that the forefoot and toe cap area has stretched because of the fact that I stuffed my boot tree into the boot with my wool socks folded in half. Out of curiosity I put the boots on and it was like I had a different boot altogether.

Doing what I did really helped solve a major issue since I could no longer return the boot for a different size and to be frank, I didn't want to because other than the forefoot area the rest of the boot was comfy. If I went with a larger size, sure, it'd give me more room but my foot would be floating in the boot. I didn't really need 1/2 size larger. I only needed a small amount of room. I am super glad that I took a shot in the dark which paid off. I don't know what's in this solution but it helped out a lot. Now these are for sure my favorite boots.

To be fair, if you have boots that are slightly too small then this solution I described would work well BUT you're not going to be able to stretch your boot a lot. For example, I would not expect a pair of 9.5 boots/shoes to stretch to a 10 with this solution so please don't try that. I mean I suppose that is possible if you tried hard enough but you'd be destroying the boot in the process because different size boots/shoes use different lasts(plastic mold of a boot or shoe) to make the boots/shoe. I suppose you could try it but I doubt it will work.

Anyways, Thanks in advance! I hope this helps someone else too.
Works almost magically well (used on Blundstone leather boots)

I bought my Blundstones new, a couple of weeks ago. The instep has been too tight, meaning lots of uncomfortable pressure on the top of my foot.

I followed the (very simple) directions on the bottle. Essentially, spray the part of the shoe you wanna stretch. Go ahead and spray that baby real good, 'cause this stuff dries fast. Put on some thick socks and put them on. I kid you not: after a hefty spraying on the instep and surrounding zone, I IMMEDIATELY felt the difference upon putting my foot in my shoes. I swear I could actively feel the leather stretching. This arrived yesterday, and in the last two days I've done probably 7-10 re-applications and they feel better each time. I get the sense that this is the kind of thing that isn't going to over-stretch the leather even with many applications. As a matter of fact, it does say on the bottle: "Repeat application until you reach a comfortable fit." So go crazy. Great product.
