Great purchase

Purchased to replace the aged bulbs in my vehicle. Was surprised at how simple but secure the packaging was. Very pleased and surprised and the protection offered by the packaging. Install was a breeze since these are direct fit replacements but access may vary depending on what model vehicle. Just be careful not to touch the glass with ur hands or get any oil on the bulbs(glass) this can cause premature failure. Light out is defiantly better don't have a way to actually measure the difference but I notice a difference!. I do a lot of driving early in the morning in a rural area and I'm glad I purchased these. Low beams provide a cleaner light output and the light travels further away from the vehicle allowing better viability. High beam performance increased aswell but not as much of a difference compared to low beams. Your results may vary. Would recommend to anyone needing or wanting to replace aged bulbs. Hasn't been long enough to test the longevity of the bulbs but I feel they will last.
Great lights, packaging is a little too good.

These lights are great! The only issue for me was that upon opening the package and trying to remove the first light, it was so tightly held in the package, I broke the bulb. I had to use quite a bit of effort to get the bulb out of the package, and my effort caused it to slam into the top portion of the package and break. No harm was done, other than the shattered glass all over my garage. I cut the plastic around the other light to get it out easier, and it came out fine.
Overall these lights are awesome and a great improvement over stock headlights. I just wish it was easier to remove the lights from the packaging. I am glad that these are packaged well, as the lights did not break during shipping.

These bulbs are probably the best option if you are using a headlight modulator

I bought these bulbs to replace the standard H4 bulbs on my Yamaha FZ1. I wanted more light and also whiter light.
These bulbs achieved the objective, if moderately. I only rated 4 stars because while I will give the manufacturer the benefit of the doubt and admit they are probably emitting 130% more light than standard H4 bulbs, it does not actually make a tremendous difference as the number would make you believe. I did a quick side by side comparison in my garage after swapping one bulb, and I rode the bike in the dark just before swapping the two bulbs and again right after, and while the difference with the standard H4 I had before was noticeable and appreciated, it is absolutely nothing compared to HID projectors.
The big advantage for me is that I have a headlight modulator, so LEDs and HIDs are out of the question. Therefore these bulbs are probably the best option that allows me to keep the modulator.
Of course, installation was very easy since they look just like standard H4 bulbs, aside from the blue coating on top of the quartz envelop.

Decent Replacements Over OEM Bulbs

People don't realize that their eyes are fooled into interpreting whiter light as 'brighter' light. But there are plenty of tests done online to show that light brightness (lumens) is not the same the light color. These 130% bulbs are definitely brighter (and whiter) than the OEM which is evident in what they illuminate down the road. It's better, but don't look for airplane landing lights better. Note: pictures are not accurate (especially in dark environments) because the camera can easily change the settings to compensate, so be wary of comparison images, unless the person knew how to take pictures in manual mode with a fixed white balance.
And for those who are frustrated by the shorter lifespan, it's inherent in these type of bulbs (halogen) that lifespan is shorter due to the fact that *all* of these bulbs accomplish the extra brightness by over-driving the filament. It's the only way to keep the same wattage (otherwise higher watt bulbs usually require an entirely new wiring harness to feed the bulbs).
But for the price, getting a year or two of considerably better light over the OEM bulbs results in a measurably more confidence in being able to see further down the road. You simply have to see it as the cost of safety.

Happy with my purchase

The difference between this bulb and the standard sylvania one sold at your local auto parts store is astounding. I hated driving my honda civic at night - felt like I was feeling my way though the dark. I couldn't believe the difference when I tried the Philips x-treme. I don't really care for the high beams on them though. It's odd - the low beams are brighter than even my high beams on my other cars (and seem aimed high but no one has honked or flashed me yet so I haven't adjusted them down), but the high beams on the philips x-treme just don't seem that bright. Maybe they are angled wrong? Anyway, the low beams are more than sufficient for all my driving so quite happy with these bulbs and if they last a reasonable amount of time (at least 6 months) will gladly repurchase. They really do seem to not only be much brighter than standard, but also seem to illuminate much further down the road and are a nice white, not yellow. Price was fair, and about the max I am willing to pay for a headlight bulb.
