Spend the extra money and get something solid, unless you dont need that

Pro: The construction seems stronger then most pots
They have a lot of "feet" on the bottom so it has more structure
The plastic seems thicker then other pots that you buy elsewhere
They seem like they wil be good for many years
Con: Are Way more expensive then other stores
The total cost per unit is 30-200% more then cheaper models
Overall:
I like them as they seem sturdy and any plant with strong roots that bend other pots or make them bubble out should not be able to move these as easily. My better half is upset that I spent more then at other stores, however she doesnt see the benefit to having quality made products that are thicker and may last longer. Hopefully in 2-3 years these will not crack and fall apart, if they do you will see an update. If I were using these to just hold plants for sale, I would probably just use the cheaper stuff however I am using these as long term pots for my house. I live in a tropical environment where these will see 8-12 hours of direct sun a day, lets see how long until they break!

Good size if you're looking for large

Good size if you're looking for large, lightweight pots. I spray-painted mine and they look pretty nice now. More sturdy than just your standard plastic pot you get when buying a larger plant at a nursery.
Great for a portable vegetable garden

This year I've decided to give growing a vegetable garden a shot. I could have started a small patch in my backyard but I wanted to start small - who knows how this is going to work out. I went to a few big name stores and, although they have cheap-looking planters all around their garden section, they do not sell them! (??) So I resorted to Amazon to find them. Well after looking for a while, I decided to get the good quality kind instead of the cheap ones so that they could last me more than a season if it turns out I'm not half-bad at this. The pots arrived in a tarp-looking sturdy bag and they feel like they are heavy duty. They have holes at the bottom for drainage, which I learned is important. They are the perfect size for a tomato plant. I planted mostly tomatoes and strawberries, with also an attempt at growing peas, zucchini and herbs. I like the fact that I can move these anywhere if they get in the way and I am really happy with the quality of these planters. I recommend them highly!!
I give this product two stars because the height dimension ...

I give this product two stars because the height dimension of the 7 gallon Pro Cal nursery pot as advertised is wrong. It is advertised as being 15x15x18. The correct dimension is 15x15x11 3/4. The height of the pot is 11 3/4 inches. NOT 18 inches as advertised. If you are growing some types of vegetables in a container, having a taller pot can be important so roots can spread out and give the plant the best conditions to grow.
but I would like to be able to choose which shape I get
VC✓ Verified Purchase•May 20, 2016
I have ordered these twice and I will likely order them again. The only downside is that there are 2 different shapes (for the 5 gallon post), a taller one and a wider one. So far having half and half has worked out, but I would like to be able to choose which shape I get. The taller shape I need for my tomatoes which need to be buried deep, while the wider ones are good for my shorter pepper plants that like having the extra width to spread their roots.
Good quality material, I should get several years of use out of these. These stay cool in direct sunlight (compared to clay or other plastic pots) helping potting soil retain moisture longer.
